    Has anyone been provide with a list of scripts and types of ceromonies they offer?  It would be awsome if you could just pick one that fits you best. Seems a little off that this part is causing people so much confussion when this is really the main reason most people are going their...to get married

     

    I want a Mayan Ceromony

     

    My FI wants a traditional Ceromony but I don't think he knows what he means by that. I asked what he would want included in the ceromony, and his answere was "You know...like vows and that kind of stuff"

    I opted to hire an outside source to do my makeup. I wanted my photographer to be able to take pictures of me getting my hair done in my room.

     

     

    Also The Amazing Wilma emailed me all the information that Yazmin had collect on my wedding. She wanted to varrief that everything was correct. About 2/3's of it was corret. 1/3 wrong. She had our welcome dinner on the wrong night. I will give her the benifit of the doubt that I told her the wrong info. I also emailed her all the details that were left out and all questions. I will let you know how it goes and how long it takes. Maybe she is going threw each of Yazmins weddings one and a time and taking them over. It sounds like it from the time line...when she first starting contacting people on this board till she contacting me.

    All Decor in the packages are only for the Ceromony. This includes sashes. Thats why I spent the $40 and got them for my receptions.

    I am def going to do my centerpieces my self.  I want a candle based centerpiece because I am having a 6 pm ceremony and it will be dark for the majority of the reception. 

     

    I will look into the chair sashes.  Are you using them for both the ceremony and reception?  I worry about making someone take them from the ceremony chairs to the reception chairs.  I purchased a package but I am unsure if sashes are included for the ceremony.

    I purchased the Amethyst Rose Package (Purple). I used 1,500 of my Palace Dollars toward this.

     

    The amazing Starfish vender is à   www.qualityshells.comThey are based out of Florida. I found them on this board.

     

    This is the cheap but good Chair sash vendor. àwww.cvlinens.com

     I was scared at first because their website sucks! But they have good and cheap stuff!

     

    I am in the process of talking to Deco Cancun and Yesinia about a location at the ASP resort on the Cove slide that has Palm Trees for Hang Lanterns. I will let you know what they come up with.

    I know love the Del Sol style, but cant afford it. 

     

    I am not sure if you know but Matt, Owner of Del Sol has another company under the Del Sol umbrella called La Luna. They are almost half the price! But have the same amazing photography. I believe John, who shot this shoot with Vincent is one of their photographers.

    Linens:

     

    I am renting table cloths only. I can't be more then $10 a table. The table cloths are eggplant purple. I am using the white napkins they provide for free. I thought the two would make a good contrast. I found chair sashes on line for .68 that I bought 40 of. Much cheaper then renting and the vendor that I went through had a great shade of eggplant.

     

    Decor:

     

    I am putting real starfish on each plate. I bought 40 for .70each on-line, Also from another great vendor. They look amazing....Again so much cheaper then buying their. I also bought candle for each of the tables. 3 per table.

     

    Centerpieces:

     

    I bought 5 vases from hobby lobby with 40 real touch Cala Lilly's. I got everything 50% off. I also bought 50 Chinese Lanterns.

     

    This all will be a pain to transport, but again...Cheaper then buying their. Also I plan on using everything for my AHR.

     

    I looked at all the centerpieces I could find on their website and from PDF's. I couldn't find anything i liked for under 80 per table. I think I bought everything for my centerpieces for 80.

     

    If I had extra money I would totally buy their, but I am using the cash elsewhere. Like on makeup from Fernando and Del Sol photography.

    I found them a little cheap online at Ben Franklins, but I believe the shipping was more. So I guess it depends on how many you need. After talking with Matt. I got twice as many as I needed. I am going to put two in each lantern. Brightens them up alot. My fiance is an engineer. He said that if they die, you can get replacement batterys for them really really cheap. I am going to use them for my AHR as well.

    They have shot about 6 full weddings at Azul. The photographs of the receptions should give you alot of idea on entertainment for you event. I used there wedding photographers to plan a lot of elements for my own wedding. I found a great makeup vendor, Mexico Trio Band and some good ideas for decor.

     

    Del Sol are the photographers I have booked for my wedding and are widely known on these boards. They have shot a lot of fire dancers and other really unique Mayan entertainment.

    They have 6 slideshows from different weddings at your resort. It will really help you pick out a great location for your wedding, plus help out with decor.

     

    I am getting married at a different Palace Resort, Aventura Cove and Spa. on February 18, 2011. Del Sol is photographing my wedding. They are AMAZING! The best. They also have another business called La Luna if you are looking for the same amazing look at a ecomical price.
