  1. Wow, good to know. I would/will never use a company that would turn down services due to a certain demographics.

Its not that people aren't welcome to their own opinions. I just choose not to fund any company or organization thats has particular opinion.

I think more people would be outraged if the women wouldn't marry you because of your ethnic background, vs sexual preference. It's rather sad but hopefully the world will learn tolerance and acceptance before it's too late.

With that being said.... It personally sickens me, no matter how respectful she said.

  2. Greetings,

My personal opinion would be not to do at Cozumel but Playa instead. The guests will have a lot more to do. Plus going on day excursions will be a lot easier. I personally am not a diver so I think I would get board at Cozmel and irritated that I would have to take the boat to town every time, especially if I wanted to go at night and their was no late boat ride back.

I personally did look into Cozumel a little but it seemed like it was more limited in hotel chooses and most hotels had rocky cove beaches vs sandy. Making it better for diving but not lounging.

If you want more photos take a look at the DEL SOL wiki on this site located here http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya

They have hundreds of pictures at both Playa and Cozumel.

  3. I am working with her now. I would say it takes about a week for her to get back to me via email. per email! Even if the email has one question. She is always very nice but jeez. I called her the other day and see answered so she is at her desk. I dunno.

I didn't get to talk to her tho because my cell phone had horrible reception. Maybe I'll try again today.

  4. I believe....the Word on the street is that DEL SOL is now an approved vendor at Palace Resorts. Not sure about Matt's Other Company La Luna.  But that might be something you want to look into if you want a more photojournalism look =)

I am guessing they might not want to advertise it because its less money they get. I dunno! Maybe Matt can fill us in. All I know is that would be AWSOME!

Q: Are there multiple photograpers to choose from? Can I see samples of their work?

A: There is more than one photographer.  MP just entered a new contract with Kodak.  There should be a website up with samples soon.

Q: The Caribbean Terrace is not included in any of the private event info I received so far.  Is it still available for use.

A: Yes, there is an additional $12 per person set up though.  This additional cost will be applied even if you qualify for the unlimited free events.

    Q: Can I request a specific WC?

A: Yes as long as the person has not already been assigned on your day.

Q: What are the prices for live entertainment for the reception?

    A: Mariachi - $580, Mexican Trio - $450, Soloist - $450, Harpist - $480, Jazz Trio - $850, Fire Dancers - $850

I also requested price list for the DJ, photographer, outside photographers, optional services for the sapphire package, etc.  If anyone needs this, I'd be happy to email it to you.

  5. Hello and Welcome.... If you are not sure what resort you want...Why don't you look at them all! I am getting married the Aventura Cove and Spa in RM and my photographer the amazing DEL SOL (OMG, you need to check them out) Has a wiki, located on this board. The have HUNDREDS of photos from dozens of resorts in RM.

The Del Sol Wiki is located Here --> http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya

This way not only can see you DOZENS of hotels in RM, but you also get to see all the bridal locations available. I really wish I would have know about this when I was picking a hotel.

  6. Those real flower ones look amazing. I am doing real flowers for me because they come in our package, but bring real touch flowers for my centerpieces. They are just so expensive at the hotel. The bridesmaid ones look very nice from what I have seen but are pricey too.

One past bride said she broke her bouquet appart between three girls. Nam.

You can see she slide show on the Del Sol Wiki, Look under Aventura Cove and Spa, Natalie and Justin. Her flowers look steller! Not to mention some KILLER photos from Del Sol the photo GODS

I originally booked the Amethyst Rose Collection but have since change as a result of changing our colors!  We are now going with the Diamond Collection which I am realizing is what most brides do since it's the easiest to put everything together! :)

  9. You really should visit the Del Sol Wiki..Have your family visit it even and take a look at all the slide shows from Del Sol. They have at least 5 slides of the moon palace that show the resort from every angle. It's not like some resorts were you see armed tanks on the beach or men with guns. Its COMPLETELY safe and beautiful. A lot of people feel better about something after they see it.

    Its located http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya#user_cn Their =)

    Well,.....

Unless your married to the that one producer from Survivor...But I don't think that's the Moon Palaces fault..../Sorry bad joke!

  10. Hmm I do not know much about this hotel. One of the best resources our their for hotels is the Del Sol Wiki. Located HERE. They have about 15 Slideshows from a variety of different locations in Playa Murjeres. I do not believe La Amada is one of them BUT! at least you could get familiar with what is the nor for hotels in that area. This way you have something to compare it to.

Who knows maybe you could be the first wedding they shoot their =) I always love seeing what new hotels look like through their photos. MUCH better then going to hotel websites.

  11. I am actaully having my cocktail party and dinner at the same location. (Located near the wedding Gazebo) It will just be spread out.  I want them to decorate to match the photo below. Wilma Recommended the following location. Also, I am renting DJ equipment for both the Cocktail party and the Dinner/Reception. This way nothing has to be moved and my guests don't have to run around.

I am having Deco Cancun do the set up so it matches the photo.
