  1. If you are still trying to decide on a resort check out the Del Sol Wiki on this site. They have thousands of pictures from hotels all around Cancun and Riviera Maya.

All the hotels are categorized by area. Its really one of the best resources around. You can actually see what all the bridal areas look like at the hotels, Instead of just the photos that the hotels provide on their websites

Doesnt hurt that Del Sol and their Sister Company La Luna are the best photography companies around =) But they did a pritty good job with this resouce. I wish I would have had it around when I picked a hotel. It was probably the hardest choose I made.

  2. Aww Thanks Manders!

  3. Congrats!

Also I saw a few girls on here saying they couldnt afford the photographer they wanted. My favorite photographer in the world is Matt From Del Sol photographer. I am sure you guys have seen there work on this site. Here is their wiki if you havnt http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya

But anyways. While his world class expertise does cost a pritty penny ( And Well Worth It ) He just started a sister company to Del Sol  Called La Luna. They are half the cost. VERY Afordable. And you still get the amazing photo journalism that Matt has been noted for in Magizines all over the world. Check them out before you book anyone!

  4. The moon Palace is Lovely! I am getting married at a different palace resort. The Aventura Cove and Spa. If you want to see a lot of great photos of the moon palace check out the Del Sol wiki on this site. They are some of the best photographer in the world and have photographed the moon place about a dozen times. You can see a lot of great photos that you wouldnt be able to see on a resort website.

    GL! And happy Planning.

  5. I feel in love with Del Sol. SO I booked them. It really was a must have for me. And probably why I cant afford extra decor lol. I really wanted to go with the complimentary package, but my FI was fixed on having a set package so they would decorate the gazebo in our colors. He felt that most of the picture people will look back on are of our ceromy. So after asking him about ten times to have the complementry one, I gave up. We are actaully not getting maried at the moon palace but at the Aventura Cove and Spa Palace. We are staying one week on each side. So we are getting 2 sets of 1,500. The first 1,500 is going toward the package and then we will do all the tours and spa stuff the second week.

I wanted amber package but since our photographers are our guests, I'm just adding the carriage and maybe the DVD. That way we can spend the palace money on spa and champagne!

I got the lanterns for Asian idea's and the lights from overstock.com and Ben Franklin. The lights are not made for this type of application, but are soooo much cheaper then the ones that are. See Pictures below so you know what I am talking about. I got the idea from another bride on this site.

My FI is an engineer so i am going to have him make liltte boxes like wine bottles containers to put them in. We also made sure we got vases that are SUPER thick. My cats already knocked one over and it didnt crack at all. It will take up probably half a suit case but all of my family offered to bring stuff done. Plus I can pack the chair sashes around them.

  6. Well Since you asked! lol

I am doing an all white wedding, with egg plant purple accents.

I bought 5 vases identical to the picture below and bought Calla lillys for them. We will be using round tables. I have booked Make Up and Photo so far. I am going with an outside vendor for both. Because that used up a lot of my money. I really had to say no to DecoCancun. We are bring 50 white lanterns, 12'. I bought LED battery lights for them. 12 for $5.00 I think? Just incase we don't have electric where we go. I am going eggplant purple for all the table cloths and Chair sashes. Oh, We also got the Amathis Rose Package and are using 1500 Vacation Dollars toward it.

Blue&StarfishBride - I think MP has both round and long tables based on the pictures posted by other members. It depends on how many people you have and what setup you want. As far as I have discovered, the unlimited events include just basic white on white linens, a buffet or plated meal and an open bar. I'm sure that you can get square tables, but they are probably ore costly. From what I've seen the fees from DecoCancun are ridiculous! I guess that's why they don't want anyone to be prepared. Figure that once you are there you will upgrade everything and not worry about the cost.
