    We took these last year when hurricane (Alex I think) missed us here in the Mayan Riviera... but stirred up some fantastic skies and once in a lifetime pictures! We loved it... and so did Nicole and Kurt who are also BDW members!

    I don't know. I think I am with the Expert Matt on this one. I would feel really bad if one of my guests flew away or got hit by a falling Palm Tree.

  2. Aventura Cove and Spa has a strick no. Because they have to unload all their audio equipment and use Palace Resorts electricity I would advise against trying to sneak one in. A photographer would be np to sneak in. Its what I am doing. I hired Del Sol and am in LOVE with them! www.delsolphotography.com/blog/

    But anyways...I know that one girl that tried to hire an outside vendor for audio was told by Palace Resorts that the DJ would need to buy insurance to bring equipment on the property.

  3.  Thanks for the heads up Matt! I will defiantly try this, this weekend and post the results, I might need you to tell me whether it worked or not. I know you guys have amazing cameras and not sure what will work the best with them.

    I might try a picture with one battery light, and 2 battery lights to judge the increase in brightness.

    Also, I got the lights on overstock.com. I will just do a search for whats on the package label.

  4. I bought 50 paper lanterns, All white and 10inch. I would have bought nylon ,but I didn't want to invest in the money. I first bought the electrical cords with light bulbs, but the lanterns didn't hook on to them well. I was going to experiment with different types of electrical cords, but then I thought they might not have electrical outlets were I want to have my reception so I bought battery lights for the lanterns.

    They work great, and I can hang out the lanterns with fish string. No worrying about electrical cords.

    The battery lights listed below are MUCH cheaper then buying the ones they recommend on lantern sites. The ones below costed me about $12.

  5. If you still are trying to pic between hotels Check out the DEL SOL photography Wiki on this site. It show hotels from all over Cancuun and Mexico including this one. It will really help you gather a feel for the resort. It can be hard trying to judge a place based of the resort website.

    DEL SOL WIKI --> http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya

    They also show a lot of pictures with Mariachi Bands, helps to give you a feel of what you are paying for. I know that Aventura Cove Charges 500 for a 3 man trio for 45mins.

  6. Check out Del Sols weather guide located here -> http://delsolphotography.com/blog/index.php/seasonalguide.flo

    It gives you a good idea what to expect. I am sure you can contact if you have any questions. They live in RM all year round. If any of you ladies are still trying to decided between locations. Check out the Del Sol Wiki located here --> http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/wiki/del-sol-photography-slideshows-riviera-maya

    They have phtos of both hotels. I picked the Aventura Spa and Cove Palace. I love going their and looking at pictures of my hotels. Makes me want to fly down there TODAY! =)

  7. " Guests staying at more than one resort will receive the benefits of the promotion depending of length of stay at each one. "

    Its located in the fine print at the bottem of this page ---> http://www.palaceresorts.com/palace-passport off the home page. I called the palace resorts wedding office and they confirmed this. I used one of my weeks to pay for the Wedding and am going to use the other week for fun. I told them what I wanted to do, they sent me a form to fax and send back.

  8. I bought those same ones from Michaels! I was going to take them back because I thought it would be a mess. I might rethink this now. Awsome! Thanks
