Morning!! Yes, tomorrow will be one month for me!! Â As far as shoes goes I am wearing a wedge flip flop for the ceremony. I was also going to go barefoot but when I went to alter my dress I would have to either alter it to the high heel shoes or barefoot and I also want to wear a high heel at the reception. The alterations person said if I altered it to the high heel and went bare foot for the ceremony that I'd have to pick the dress up when walking down the aisle. No thank you! Â For hair and make up I am having the spa do it as it is included in my package but my sister will be there as a back up plan. I originally was going to hire someone to come on site but the cost was crazy plus the vendor fee was WAY too much. Â They do offer steam cleaning of your dress and the grooms suit but check your package. Â I was down there in July and they basically told me that weddings get planned about 3 weeks out. It was hard for me to understand at first but I get it now. They do weddings pretty much everyday so I'm trusting it will all work out fine. My only issue is that a month out, I still don't know what the cost is! Yikes! Â We have 61 people and we thought we would only get 35!! Â The diet is basically shot to heck! I just came back from my bachelorette weekend where I drank and ate way too much. Also I hate to work out but have been forcing myself but its even harder when I never see any results. Ugggh! Â I'm FB friends with them! Â Getting nervous too but so excited. Packing is not going to be fun at all! Â

Welcome!! There are some great photographers locally but make sure you check who the photographer is that is included in the packages. We are bringing our own.

45 days to go for me and we are up to 61 people! Yah!! Â As far as music goes, we are doing iPod for the ceremony and DJ for the cocktail and reception. I think I almost have it all done but did it a while back so want to look back and update just in case. Â I started packing up my OOT bag stuff and it fills a huge box that we are checking. Hope it all fits and under the weight limit! Â I have my final dress fitting in 17 days but it is the week after my bachelorette party so a little nervous about over drinking and indulging!

To be honest, I'm not really stressing about anything about the weddig except for how I'm going to get all this crap down there and how to lose some weight! Ha! Besides the fact my fiance and I agreed that he can quit his job. Yikes! He's been super unhappy and under appreciated so we'll see what happens!! Â I was pretty organized throughout which I think was helpful and also realizing that DW are very different than an at home wedding. They just work differntly as far as time and planning. They are used to planning everything in the weeks prior the wedding. It took me a while to get that. Just relax and I hope it will all come together. Â I also wish I would have worked harder to losing some weight earlier. I started in April but still I haven't lost any weight!! Uggh! I had my first dress fitting and I cannot gain one pound if I want it to fit me!!

Hello ladies! I packed up a big box last night with our OOT stuff and its huge and I was originally going to ship it but now I'm afraid. Now I think I'm just going to check the thing! We get 2 bags up to 70lbs free on the way there. Â Is anyone else freaking out?? Â I had my dress fitting last week and it fits great. Just had to get the hem and bustle done but I cannot gain a pound! No room for errors there!

 I bought these too but not for the wedding, just to have. Make sure you break them in a bit. The first day I wore them I had a huge red mark in between my toes from the knot and I even bought a half size bigger because my right size was cutting of the circulation. They are so cute though!! Â

I believe Daniela didn't return from her accident until Friday so I am going to give it a few weeks so she can catch up and then start hounding her again! ha  My OOT bags are done! Well ordered...

Annkho, I am using DJ Moremixx but I believe the resort has a DJ and if you use them, you don't have to pay the $300 outside vendor fee. I am flying my photographer down. Gwendolyn Tundermann from Jacksonville, FL. It actually cost me around the same to fly one vs. havin gone in Mexico and I get them for the entire time they are there so we liked that better. No language barrier and shipping CD's, photo books etc would be withing the US. Â I had not heard anything about the hair dresser but I'm going to give it a shot. I considered having a hair dresser come to the resort but it would have cost over $600 which is out of my budget. Â As far as I know, I don't think Alexandria is there anymore either. When I was there last month, it was Daniela and intern and they said they were also trying to hire one more person. Also, they say they typically wait until 2 months prior to the wedding to start planning. Â If you have any other questions, let me know. I'll try my best to answer. Â Exactly 2 months away for me!! I did a wax seal and it was hit or miss. Some people said it was full on when they received it and others were totally off. They looked great though! Â I am doing cardio and weights too. I'm hoping to lose at least 10 lbs in two months. My problem is alcohol and carbs. I just love them so much!! I pushed my first fitting out in the hopes I would fit in it better. Â On my to do list: OOT bags, finalize script and readings, finalize playlist, finish bridesmaids gifts and still debating on how to do my hair and make up. Still don't have my whole waredrobe either but working on it! Â I'm thinking about doing lash extensions, the kind that last 2 months but I'm scared. Has anyone used them?

I've attached what Aly actually gave me. They don't have all the prices on there or menus. We picked an old menu since we had picked it prior to the change but from what I know they only have sit down options. If anyone has the list of old hors devours, they are the same options. I am doing the Devine and we get cold and paid extra to do 2 cold and 2 hot. Â We are having a DJ. They are planning to replace the railing but not the roof as it wasn't really a roof anyways so if it rained it wouldn't matter. I am planning to do the reception there on the deck and the ceremony on the beach below. Here's a pic. The chuppah will be closer to the water of course to allow more chairs.

Aly, I have been so crazy busy with work and all these darn showers and wedding planning that I started drafting my review but have never finished. Overall, we loved the resort. It is beautiful and the food is great. Daniela the WC is awesome and like you said, I don't think we have anything to worry about. The only downsides I would say is that the beds are not the best but I was told that is part of the renovations they will be doing and by October, 100 or so rooms should be done. Also, when it rains the marble floors get really slippery so warn your guests. While we were there a woman slipped and hit her head and had to go to the hospital. You do have to make reservations for the Japanese but none of the other restaurants. I've attached a few pics. Where the reception will be... Let me know if you have any questions! MissyR, good to see you on here. All your previous posts helped out so much and thanks for starting the thread! Sarahrose, I didn't see any changes take place aesthetically while I was there but my TA found out they will be redoing some of the rooms to make it more "sapphire" and changing out some furniture, pictures, etc. which is a good thing. Beds as well! Overall the resort is beautiful and really doesn't need much to be changed at all. Daniela did tell me that they are working on improving the entertainment as well. If you have any questions, ask away. Not sure if can answer but you never know!

I totally agree with ktchi. We were recently there and I had the very same concerns that my wedding is 2 months away and I have not planned anything but as you'll find out they are used to planning pretty much a month before. I feel much better after speaking with them. Daniela got into a car accident recently and has been out for a few weeks but is supposed to be back next Friday. In the meantime, they have someone training and just hired another WC named Sandra. I think we I didn't understand and a lot of DW brides don't is that DW aren't planned like they are in the states where you plan months and months in advance. When they told me I would finalize everything when we arrived, I almost fell over but now I understand that they do this almost everyday and know what they are doing. Don't worry! It will work out great!

Glad to hear you got it worked out for your site visit. We walked past Dreams on the beach and it looks really nice too. Looks more modern looking but I liked the feel of NOW since it was for me more Mexican feeling and open aired concept which i think is nice at the beach.
