We gave out a passport save the date at our engagement party with all the information for booking the trip a year in advance....around june we sent out a postcard giving guests a deadline to book their trip by (aug 1st) After aug 1st i sent out these announcements made by me ( a little bit of a cheat-im a graphic designer!) to my booked guests.....enjoy! p.s. the orange taffeta ribbon is ribbon made from the same material as my bridesmaids dress Â
  2. These are my shoes. I had a hard time finding hot pink shoes that were "bridal enough" So i found great satin hot pink shoes and embellished myself! I added all front toe, back and sole "i do" stones! I cant wait to show them off!! Â Â Â Â Â

  4. Okay, i found lots of posts on father/daughter dances, spanish party songs etc but none on mother / son songs (help if any!) and have searched the internet...FI is at a loss and getting discouraged--i know you can help ladies!!!
  5. we're dancing to savage garden's truly madly deeply. it was the first slow song we ever danced to together when we started dating in HS... (i also "stole" our wedding bands and had truly madly deeply engraved in them as a surprise)
  6. my great friend (who is an off broadway performer) is singing an modified acoustic guitar version of Beyonce's Halo for the processional....we are using U2's beautiful day for the recessional.
  7. yes 115 guests...we did NOT expect that. Our full guest list was at 290. We didnt cut anyone and invited everyone we wanted to...but 115 was unexpected!!
  8. a lot of people are asking about the bio hazard bags. i got them from a gf who's a nurse... i think a hospital might give them to you if you asked (after looking at you like you were crazy!) or ask your doctor?? Â I DO have some left over and am willing to give them up-first come first serve. I am not sure how many i have exactly but please private message me if your interested!!! Â Thanks--wish i had enough to share w all!!! Â
  9. I did all the printing for the inside materials through vista. I got the biohazard bags from a friend who's a nurse at a hospital. Im sure if you asked you'd be able to score some. I created the header for the bags (im a graphic designer so i do have a little bit of a leg up) i offered another gal a template so if your interested let me know and i can send you one. I work on a MAC but i'm sure you'd be able to use it in PDF. PM your email address to me
  10. Â not a dumb question at all!! I printed them on cardstock paper and folded them in half. ( i printed two on each page of cardstock) and then stapled the corners. I work on a MAC but PM your email and i will try and send you a template you can use.
  11. I used the vistaprint oversized post cards. i got a free offer for 100 of them hole punched them and used the raffia to hang over the door. i used the vistaprint rack cards to create my translations-phrases card! love vistaprint!! good luck!

Okay Ladies, I have to first and foremost thank everyone on this site for all your helpful ideas, suggestions, problem solving etc. My bags are pretty close to being finished but I wanted to share my progress (in hopes to possibly inspire some other brides!) If anyone has any questions on supplies or where I bought them feel free to contact me!!
