Mexico has been getting a lot of bad publicity in Canada recently and since I have a little toddler, that is off my list for this year. I did research every single Island (I think) in the Caribbean and their resorts - a lot of the ones I liked did not allow children, so I finally settled on the ILA which seems amazing.

I am sure you will create your dream Happy planning! Thanks so much futuremrsgoodrich for this information! I had checked some variations of dates for end of January and the weekend of valentines day and there wasn't really much difference when flying from Toronto ($20-$50).

LOL Of course, that all depends on everyone's priorities. SuperKate, Cuba is actually usually less expensive than Mexico for us Canadians. I agree RonNMel, I am not really into food myself but I have 3 girlfriends who o loooooove food hence I need to make sure they will find the food acceptable. And yes, i was surprised at the cost when booking from Toronto

Plus, with 5 restaurants you're sure to find something you like I have the wedding menus, let me know if you'd like to see them. I have definitely decided on this resort and and contacted the wedding coordinator. I haven't heard from her yet though and yes, it would be very useful if I could view the wedding menus - thanks chevy14! Also, if the food is bland, a sprinkling of paprika might help! I feel so rushed right now because we are getting married in February and just made a decision on a location!

Thanks a lot - right now, I am leaning towards Cuba but everyone I speak to who have been there are saying that the food is bad. So now, i have to go back and so more research!
  20. Hi - We are going to get married next year somewhere in the Caribbean. I would really like Turks and Caicos but my guest can't afford it! We do not have a date but Valentine's day wedding would be ideal but it appears to be a pipe dream because I haven't made any plans! I want an exotic location but my guests don't seem to what to pay the price for it! A friend suggested that I should just go with my fianceee to wherever in the world I want
