Hi Traybe! I'm having 70 guests so not quite 100. It's my understanding that they can accomodate that many. The only caveat is that it will slightly limit your private event options. For example, a popular reception location is Tucanes. But you can only do Tucanes if you have 50 guests or less. We ended up having to do our Rehearsal Dinner at La Isla instead of El Cocotol but still use the El Cocotol menu because of the size of our party...things like that. But honestly I didn't think that any of these concessions will take away from the wedding. I've had a really smooth time with Valeria (my designated coordinator) and I can't wait to actually get there next Tuesday. I hope this helps.

Now that I'm less than 2 weeks away, I can say that overall working with Valeria via email has been awesome. She really wants you to have the best wedding possible and she'll do anything for you. Enjoy the planning!

laurenvuitton - it is insane how fast the time went by. i joined this forum right after we got engaged. it's been so amazing sharing the process with all of you.

By the way, our wedding is one month from today. Can't believe the time went by so fast!

dimplz, i truly enjoyed reading this. you and i have similar plans - i have a lot of spa appointments booked, i'm supposed to get the bridal suite, i'm doing all private events, i'm having someone say a scripture during the ceremony, my FI and i are sayin gour own vows, etc. so this review really helped me so much. do you have recos RE: what i can do to make sure that my bridesmaids don't get charged anything fot their spa services? we're paying for them beforehand as well. also dod you remember the name of your ceremony officiant? was it aleena? thanks so much!

Yep I definitely did some customizing of the bouquets. They are really easy to work with when it comes to personalizing the options. That's one of the many reasons why I'm really glad we chose EDR.

I am getting all flowers through the resort. They look really lovely. I got yellow and white bouquets for my bridesmaids and lavendar and white for my MOH. Mine is all white. I thought their selection was really good.

We are doing the Pearl Package and staying in a regular room. And did a lot of building on top of that!

It's definitely more expensive than I initially imagined a destination wedding would be. Then again...I do have 70 peeps coming ha ha ha.

It's taken longer for Valeria to respond lately. Maybe they are inundated with brides. If 2 days go by then I usually send another email or call.

A la playa - I love your colors! I like that they are vivid and unique. My colors are yellow, turquoise and purple. I've chosen the decs for the gazebo and the reception. Let me know if you want me to share those. I love the boat ride idea. If you can find something a bit nicer than a catamaran that would be perfect. By the way ladies, just heard from Valeria that the hotel WILL honor the new, lower prices. This saves a lot of money!

A la Playa - I hate hearing that you are stressed and you feel like you still need to iron things out. Can we help? Do you want to bounce some ideas off of us and we can give advice or let you know what we're doing? I want this to be a happy and stress free time for you. Ok well it's gonna be tough for it to not be stressful b/c I also feel the stress at times but we're here for you!!! We'll make it work! Hmmm 1:30pm wedding. Maybe you guys could do a catamaran boat ride or something afterwards and then come back to party. That could be cool. What are your colors? Have you chosen all of your decorations yet?

We are flying in our photographer from Miami. He's staying the mandated 3 nights so we just have to pay the $500 outside vendor fee.

I downloaded the new banquet kit with the lower prices this afternoon. So they're still on there. So I'd better get this discount!!!
