  1. Hi Traybe! I'm having 70 guests so not quite 100. It's my understanding that they can accomodate that many. The only caveat is that it will slightly limit your private event options. For example, a popular reception location is Tucanes. But you can only do Tucanes if you have 50 guests or less. We ended up having to do our Rehearsal Dinner at La Isla instead of El Cocotol but still use the El Cocotol menu because of the size of our party...things like that. But honestly I didn't think that any of these concessions will take away from the wedding. I've had a really smooth time with Valeria (my designated coordinator) and I can't wait to actually get there next Tuesday. I hope this helps.
  2. Now that I'm less than 2 weeks away, I can say that overall working with Valeria via email has been awesome. She really wants you to have the best wedding possible and she'll do anything for you. Enjoy the planning!
  3. laurenvuitton - it is insane how fast the time went by. i joined this forum right after we got engaged. it's been so amazing sharing the process with all of you.
  4. By the way, our wedding is one month from today. Can't believe the time went by so fast!

Anyone else encounter this? I didn't have this issue either because at the beginning we encouraged everyone to book through our group and let them know they were getting a reduced rate. We're also going through DW.com. That really sucks though. It just presents a headache for you.
  6. I asked for the fee to rent a projector and I think it was something astronomical like $600or $700. Insane.
  7. Amanda I just went through all of your pictures and LOVED them. I'm excited that the flower arrangements at the resort are so nice. The Mexican BBQ also looked DIVINE!
  8. laurenvuitton - i am using dj ivan gomez (doremixx). i know that dimplz used him and loved him. i know that you were asking about the resort DJ but maybe doremixx is worth checking out?
  9. hi laurenvuitton, i'm here to help! i have not used carolina. valeria is my offsite coordinator and i'm not sure who my onsite coordinator will be (we get married on august 7th). is she your offsite coordinator? keep the questions coming!
  10. dimplz, i truly enjoyed reading this. you and i have similar plans - i have a lot of spa appointments booked, i'm supposed to get the bridal suite, i'm doing all private events, i'm having someone say a scripture during the ceremony, my FI and i are sayin gour own vows, etc. so this review really helped me so much. do you have recos RE: what i can do to make sure that my bridesmaids don't get charged anything fot their spa services? we're paying for them beforehand as well. also dod you remember the name of your ceremony officiant? was it aleena? thanks so much!
  11. dimplz!!! i am bouncing in my seat as i wait for your review! a few quick questions for you: 1. was the food as good as we all hoped? 2. did the wedding coordinators get everything right? 3. were most people happy with their accommodations? i can't wait to see pics!
  12. Yep I definitely did some customizing of the bouquets. They are really easy to work with when it comes to personalizing the options. That's one of the many reasons why I'm really glad we chose EDR.
