We didn't - and it's totally my fault - I got this started and then forgot to follow up! Would you ladies be up for meeting after work on a wednesday or thursday? If yes - then I'm wide open on every wednesday and thursday in May...

She will be with us the whole time so it worked out for us better. Ohhh you're doing a BD Shoot!!! So exciting! I really want to do one but I need to get my butt in gear and get in better shape Have fun with it this weekend!

I love them AND if you find out last minute you need extras you can pick them up at Michaels or any other craft store - of course they're cheaper online and in bulk

You get the pictures on a CD within a day and the photo book is also ordered. It was sunny all the day on the day of the wedding then started raining 30 minutes before. They moved the ceremony to terrace outside of Desires, Cocktail inside Desires, and reception in Ballroom. I was very happy with the way everything turned out. I will try to post complete review soon. Let me know if you have any questions though. Use this link or paste into address.... Jarrett & Khara Congrats MRS!! Your pictures are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

Lots of new brides - welcome to everyone - there's tons of information on the forum! Reception Sites: Pool Deck (between the deck and the infinity pool), Beach, Area around the pool (by the gazebo), Jacuzzi Terrace (for a smaller group - my group of 60 would not come close to fitting there) Ceremony Sites: Beach, Gazebo There are pictures that were posted several posts back of these locations. I'm sorry I can't remember the page numbers. As for times of the year - I believe peak season is Feb, March & April. Starts to slow down some in May, June and July and the shoulder/off season starts is August/September/October. Don't freak out just yet with prices - understand that usually specials and sales will come out when you're about 3 months out from your wedding date. I HIGHLY suggest you speak to a travel agent - I'm working with Heather from Berman Travel - they have great relationship with Dreams, she knows where to get the best prices and she'll price match. So we booked last august and we have until July of this year to rebook if she finds better prices out there for us.

I think for the sticker labels, she got the stickers at Staples - they might have been blank name tags and then she used Microsoft Word to print them out. She found the clipart for free online. We used these for the money holders and the first aid kits. I am sure that she has them saved on her computer but unfortunately it crashed and I am not sure if she got it back up yet. As soon as she does, I will post templates. As for the hang tags, I used Microsoft Word and just set the margins to be the size of what I wanted the tag to be and put a border around. I had my monogram made by Sproullie Designs Sproullie Designs - Home She sent it to me as a jpeg file. I printed the tags onto cardstock, punched a hole and then used ribbon to tie them on to the bags. And just to give a list of where I got everything else... The notebooks were from the dollar store. My mom actually covered them with scrapbook paper (she's very crafty!) and they looked awesome! I got the decks of cards from the dollar store and my mom also covered those boxes in scrapbook paper and then made the labels for them in microsoft word and printed them out on cardstock and then glued them to the deck of cards. The starfish is a stamp. Here's a better picture: I got the first aid kits from the dollar store and they came with bandaids and alcohol pads. I added to them safety pins and motrin (which I got at Staples - it came as individual packs in a big box). My mom made the labels for them on Microsoft Word. I got the hand sanitizer from Staples also...it was a great deal - a package of 2 for $1. I got the chapstick from this website and got the margarita and pina colada flavors. Cocktail Lip Balms The maraca pens came from Oriental Trading: Wooden Maraca Pens The beach safe containers also came from Oriental Trading but i don't see the ones I got on their website anymore. I also put a card in the bags with information on a photoshare site that I set up on shutterfly. Oh and I also sent out a brochure with some information on it a couple of weeks before the wedding. I did the photoshare cards and the brochures on my computer, which is a Mac, in Pages. I will attach those files! Hope all of this helps!! Girl! Your brochures are awesome! And so is your mom!!! The notebook and cards look amazing!!! I love it!

I haven't had much contact with Ana, but am not worried after all of the feedback. Has anyone done a dinner like this and if so how much did it cost? Did you set something up prior to getting there? Thanks, Adrian I haven't done it yet - but we have a welcome dinner scheduled and we're expecting about 60 people. She quoted me $32pp (so for us it worked out to about $2,000 - although I always forget about tax so it'll be a little more than that) For that size - Ana told me we basically could do the beach or we could do the area surrounding the pool or the pool deck but since we're doing the pook deck for the reception we'll probably end up on the beach.

We are having our reception on the pool deck though and I started wondering whether heels would be a problem in terms of getting them stuck between the slats of wood on the deck... am I being crazy or should I be wary of a skinny heel for the reception? I'm doing flats for the ceremony and then I bought a pair of pink heels for afterwards - I have our reception on the pool deck as well. I was thinking of buying these: The SoleMates - High Heel Protectors, Prevents Heels from Sinking into Grass just to be safe.

Thanks. Did you make your own labels? Thanks! Here's what our oot bags will have in them: - Mexican wedding cookies (I'm on a hunt for bakery in playa or cancun to order these from - will be trying to nail that down on our site visit next month). These have a little tag that says "Abrezos" (hugs) which I ordered from ForYourParty.com Wedding favors, custom wedding napkins, party favors, and more. Make your special occasion unique with personalized favors!. I believe they cost $90 for 150 tags (I got 50 of each) - Chocolates from Ah Cocoa - those will have a tag that says "Besos" (Kisses) - A Just in Case bag: Advil, tums, pepto, purell, shout wipes, bug repellant wipes...my fiance ordered all this stuff off of Amazon.com - it's amazing the stuff you can find on there - Personalized Koozie - Mexican Worry Dolls - we bought these in San Antonio at a mexican market - they're little dolls with a slip of paper that says "mexican children put these dolls under thier pillows at night and the dolls take all thier worries away" - although they're technically Guatamalean... - Welcome Letter with Agenda. I made two stickers - one says "Shake For a Kiss" and we're attaching those to adorable little hang tags I ordered from www.paperpresentation.com (in the color flame which is a metallicy orange, they have the same color at foryourparty.) and then I made 2x2 stickers that say "bienvenidos a mexico" and those will go on the outside of the gable box. I found a great website if you want to make stickers: Online Labels - Labels for laser and inkjet printers! Compatible with all popular software programs for printing labels! - when you order labels they give you an access code to Maestro or something - but it's an online based program where you can design your sticker and then simply print them off -no worrying about the margins etc. I highly reccommend it. I'm going to upload some pictures into photobucket and I'll post them.

Hey ladies - I'm getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun so I'm hopping over to this thread - I'm so disappointed to hear about the way dreams management is handling this. Just wanted to let all the brides dealing with this issue know that my heart goes out to you! I wish you all the very best and I know your weddings are going to be amazing and beautiful!

I do not think they make very much for what they do and a few bucks here and there really helps them. Happy planning! Thank you so much for your review! After reading trip advisor I've been bracing myself for nightmares at check in...

But here's my question: since there are so few people coming now I can stretch my OOT bag budget, but would it be tacky to do paper gift bags? I figure what's inside is more important and some people might be like "ugh, another bag" what's yall's opinion? Yes I said "yall's..." I'm from the South! I love Y'ALL! I live in Houston so I feel like I'm allowed to use it - but my fiance refuses haha. We're originally from Boston. I'm doing gable boxes - I had the same thought - the stuff in it is more important than the bag itself. And buy not spending the money on the custom bags, I could spend more on the stuff in it.

Megan I'm so sorry you had guests back out Your wedding is going to be amazing and it's totally thier loss! Everyone who does go is going to come back talking about how great it is and they will have missed out an a fantastic time. We had friends who are getting married in June confront us and basically tell us they think it's selfish of us to have a destination wedding - the exact quote was "don't you feel guilty asking your friends to spend so much money to fly from Boston to Mexico and stay for 3 or 4 nights?" And the next sentence out of his mouth was "oh Ron are you coming to my bachelor party in London?" WHAT?! Seriously - some people are crazy. So after that conversation we decided it was absolutely thier loss. Stay focused on your friends and family that are excited - it'll keep you excited! And us! We're all excited for you and can't wait to see pictures and hear how wonderful it was...you're soooo close!

Megan...the template I have for the list and times of events is on my mom's computer which just crashed the other day so unfortunately I can't post it for you However, it was very, very east to do! She did it in Microsoft Word. If you need help figuring it out, let me know and I will try to re-create it and post for you. I'll post a picture of it... Also, I got chocolates from Ah Cacao, which is located in Playa del Carmen for favors for my wedding. It was a great suggestion from somebody on here (sorry, I don't remember who!!) and it was a hit. I contacted them through their website before I left for Mexico and paid for the chocolates by paypal. I arranged with Ah Cacao for the chocolates to be delivered the day before the wedding and they were delivered right to the hotel concierge with no problems. They only charged $8 for delivery fee and a taxi ride to Playa costs $50, so it was a great deal! They have lots of stuff depending on how much you want to spend. Did you get stuff for your OOT bags yet? One thing that I put in mine that was used a lot in Mexico and at home was chapstick. I got mine from this website ( Cocktail Lip Balms ) and the flavors were so good I got margarita and pina colada - yum! I'll post a pic of my OOT bag contents for you too so you can see what else I put in them. Hope that helps! Wedding Events: OOT bag contents: ] Ohhh that was me! I have the pdf for the chocolates - I'm attaching it here for you. Also - I have templates for my bridesmaids and groomsmen, which I'm sure you can tweak for all guests - I'll attach those as well. I bought a10 sized cards (3.875 x 9.25) at Michaels - it was in the wedding aisle - Mix and Mingle by Gartner studios (I bought white and then ordered pink envelopes from Paper Presentation to stuff them in).
