I'm in a similar situation to you. I'm trying to pick between Cozumel/Riviera Maya, Punta Cana, and Mazatlan. The biggest problem is I love each place for a different reason. I've started a spreadsheet of information on the different resorts I have looked at. I'm hoping that helps me narrow it down for me! Good luck, let me know if I can help

Hi there! I'm looking around the same area for Feb 2011 I have found that making a spreadsheet of the resorts is helpful. Were you looking at having it at an AI resort, non AI, or off site?

I had wanted Cabo for the longest time, but then when I looked at cost of flights between Cabo and something on the East Coast I started to lean more towards the Eastern side.... Riviera Maya or maybe even the DR. Most of my family and friends are on the Eastern side of the US so it made more sense in flight time and costs. Not sure if that helps or not Happy Planning!!

I was reading posts on here and saw that some resorts have several weddings in one day and others do not. Would you ladies be able to help me put it together. I can't seem to find the posts I was reading in order to add the info to my spreadsheet I'm working on. I'm considering pretty much all resorts at this point, pretty early in the info gathering stage Thank you!!!

I'm leaning more toward an AI, but considering both right now. I'm hoping if I can make up my mind on a location then I can pick a resort...but seems like right now I'm doing the opposite. There will be a few kids there, so I'm trying to keep in mind the family friendly aspect also.

Hello! Sounds like we have similar things in mind. I am looking at PDC area or DR for my Feb 2011 wedding! I have started an Excel spreadsheet of the resorts that interest me. Hey All! I've been glancing at this forum for a while now, hoping that someday soon I would be able to post and plan with everyone. Well I finally can! Yahoo I'm officially engaged and trying to get a location figured out. We are looking at Feb 18, 2011 for a date. Most of the family is in WI, friends are all scattered around country, and I live in Washington DC. I want to get married ON a beach, that is my only non negotiable item. The rest I'm pretty laid back on...ha ha at least so far. There are three possibilities so far... Cozumel- love the area and scuba diving. many options for the guests in surrounding areas but a little concerned about beaches, maybe too rocky? Mazatlan at Emerald Bay Pueblo Bonito-hotel is gorgeous, went there a few years ago but not a ton to do in the city Punta Cana - know the least about this destination. Was in Puerto Plata and loved the DR, but Puerto Plata's beaches weren't that great, lots of stuff washes up on them. If anyone has any tips or amazing places I should check out, please send them my way...I feel a little overwhelmed at this point...but REALLY excited at the same time
