Thank you for the compliment. I am getting married on the beach because it was stunning. The entire resort is fabulous. It is large so I would recommend to your guest to bring comfortable shoes for walking.

Ladies, I met a bride while I was doing a site visit to the Iberostar and she mentioned that there was a list on here of all the fun drinks that the resorts has. She had put this list in the welcome books and challenged her guests to try them. Has anyone seen this list? Also, I made my bridesmaids jewelry. I then made them a scrapbook from scratch with picture of us growing up together. It has been a lot of work but they are amazing. I then ordered them Lolita wine glasses with beach themes on them and flip flop attachable coasters. I am getting so excited. I can't believe it is coming up. Talk to you all soon!

Hi Ladies, I have my invitations out and am moving forward. I have my OOT bags made and everything that is going inside of them already bought. I suggest looking and you can find some great deals. I wanted to know what you all are doing for your bridesmaids gifts. I am making them jewelry and photo albums of us growing up but do not know if that is enough. I feel bad that they are spending money to come be with us. I am having my bridesmaids dresses made by a friend and am stressing about that. My BMs are everywhere. I am also struggling with flowers. I want to go tropic but just can't make up my mind how to do it. My bridesmaids colors are chocolate, taupe, and champange. Any suggestions? Thanks Mandee ps. I was there in July and saw the flowers they were gorgeous. She told me that you could choose from any array of flowers but some will cost more. I know that orchids cost more. However, the arrangemet that I saw had gerber daisies, lilies, roses, and cala lilie.There were orange and pink and breath taking. Hi Everyone, I read the OOT bag thread and ended up taking items out of my OOT bag because others said that they did not use them. I would suggest this. I am getting married at the Iberostar. It is the same concept as the Barcelo just a different brand. I have found that they have few extra charges but nothing like you are describing. Our package includes my hair, pedicure, manicure, and makeup. We get a day at the spa and everything. Their spa has gotten excellent reviews on makeup and hair. Our package includes 10 people and then it is 18$ per person after. This fee is to cover the extra cake, private service, and champagne. Kids under 12 are no extra charge. I hope that you really get this figured out. I am so sorry to hear from you. I would just pick up the phone and call the general manager. I had a few questions and I called the wedding coordinator. It was not real expensive. Also, look on the website and see if you can find the email to get to the GM. The whole reason we choose to do a destination wedding is not to have the stress. I am so sorry.

I have seven bridesmaids and three groomsmen. I am going to have the groomsmen standing with Greg and the girls walking in alone. I will couple them on the way out and Greg's daughter will walk out with us.

I got on the OOT bag forum and found a great welcome book. The template was fantasitc and they sent it right to me. The bookds that it fits are on sale for 50% off at Hobby Lobby this week.

Are you guys going to stay on the resort for your honeymoon or transfer somewhere else? We are doing our honeymoon at the Maya Palace. I am going to look at their forum and see what I can find out.

I just talked to Reyna two weeks ago. However, she did tell me that she is going to be out for two weeks. I think Karla and Reyna work together on things. Karla has outstanding reviews.

Hi Everyone, I made OOT bags and did not pay more than a dollar for anything in the bag. I went to Michaels and got $1.00 flipflops. I got $1.00 beach towels at Target, order mugs from discount mugs, sanitizer from the dollar store, fans from oriental trading, and water guns. I also made my welcome books from a template that I got from this site. I am also curious regarding the tropical restaurant and what the menus are. Do you know if we have to have a pre set menu if we have a certain number of people?

Ladies, I have finally made the decision to go with fans instead of maraccas. Now I just have to decide how I am going to decorate them. I am thinking about buying them from Oriental Trading. Any suggestions?

Ladies, Does anyone know if we need to get what our guests want to eat before we arrive and if we are going to need assigned seating so that they get what they ordered. I am not sure about this. We are renting out the Tropical for four hours. I have heard that it is now a italian restaurant. Does anyone know what the menu looks like or if the food is good?

I did not mean the water itself but the travel mugs that everyone is raving about. I am considering getting them and then with no logo and then get a clear label with my logo on it and put it on. I saw a wedding while I was there and everyone was using their mugs.

That is a great idea. I thought about buying a photo album with the cardstock paper in them. I would then put a different colored cardstock page in the middle so that people do not write on it. I want them to sign the book and write a message. Then I will have my friend Ann there to take a picture on a digital camera. I am then going to print the pics and put them in the album on the page they signed. This will help me create a memory

Hello Again, Now that I have seen all three of the of the starfish I really like the brown one does anyone have it? I will take any of the three for my something borrowed but I though I would ask.

I am getting married April 24th, 2010 and would really like the blue or white starfish goes in your bouquet. I will pass it on to the next bride. Does anyone have a starfish free for me? Please!

Mu guess is that the kids can come to the wedding if the wedding is on the beach. The kids can walk to the ceremony from the other properties on the beach. The kids may not be able to go into the hotel for the receptions and etc. I would clarify though.

To comment on the heat it is warm. However, I hear that the tropical is not that hot. I did hear the the mediterannean restaurant is extremely hot. The breeze from the beach is suppose to keep things very cool. I would see what other people have to say but that is what I have been told.
