From the research I've done and my contact with all the wedding people (sales, coordinator, etc...) it seems like a wonderful place. Also, of the few reviews on the site, no one really had anything bad to say. My advice would be to email them with any questions you have, they were more than happy to answer all of my questions, and I imagine they would do the same for you.

I know at Riu Montego Bay, they say you must be there 2 full business days before you get married. Your arrival day and wedding day do not count. And neither do Sundays.

That's awful that they can do that to a person!! I agree though, every time I book anything through somewhere other than the resort, hotel etc...I always make the phone call to confirm. I don't want to end up like this person, trying to enjoy a vacation that just cannot be enjoyed.

We actually decided to send them with the save the date. That way everyone can see exactly what they need to do in order to book the trip. Plus, it gives them almost a year to save up if they need to. The postage won't really be a problem since we're only sending 15-20 of them out.

That's fantastic! Hopefully that will happen for us too. We have a bunch of families of 4 attending as well.

When we were confirmed earlier this week, we have the Royal Package and it was quoted at $1275. That is for a 2010 wedding, however, the price on a 2009 wedding is $1115. So I guess it depends on when you plan on getting married.

We are trying to put one of these together too, and we were also wondering when to mail these out. Our two lines of thinking were either with the invitations we're sending out or with the save the date cards. We were kind of leaning toward the save the date cards, that way for the people who are on the fence about whether or not to come, they'll see what they're going to miss out on if they don't come. Any suggestions on this from anyone??

I was told earlier this week that Sherika would be our WC. So far I have emailed her a number of times and she has been really quick to get back to me. She doesn't seem to mind all of the questions that I've been asking so far. Hopefully she'll be on top of things where we won't have to worry to much. I am so nervous that things are going get messed up and my FI will be so stressed that she'll not enjoy the wedding. Which is why I actually want to be involved as much as I can to ensure she has the best day. If anyone has any experiences with Sherika, would you please post them so we know exactly how on top of things we need to be.

Hi everyone, my name is Jim and my fiancee's name is Kirstin. We are getting married on Friday June 18th at the Riu Montego Bay.
