Hi Les & Lynda! Thanks for the post! So you guys are former Winnipeggers and living in DR now! Thats a big move!! Can you tell me anything about the Bavero Barcelo Deluxe or the Majestic Elegance? Kraig and I are thinking of getting married Feb 2011, so time is on our side right, and want to be sure I am doing all the investigation to be as much of an informed bride to be as possible!

This resort has a couple within it, and the deluxe is suppose to be the nicer part....from what we can tell how did you guys find the food, bars etc?

Hey!! I have not seen much on the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe, it is a larger resort, with a couple resorts inside, the deluxe resort is newly renovated with very modern rooms with jacuzzi's on the balcony. The website pics seem nice, but actual feedback from people who have stayed there is even better!! If anyone has some info on this resort that they could pass along, it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

My boyfriend (yes boyfriend, we are not engaged....yet) and I are also planning for a destination wedding in Punta Cana for Feb 2011, just started the planning process, we were thinking for Barcelo Bavero Palace Deluxe...but that could change depending on reviews, and the travel agent. Hello everyone! So I guess we are the newbies...my boyfriend and I stumbled across this site, we are planning to have a destination wedding Feb 2011, and want to go to Punta Cana...although we are not even engaged yet, is that wierd!? lol. We just want to get a jump start on the planning, and thought this would be an interesting way to gain some knowledge from others in our position!! We are thinking the Barcelo Bavero Palace Deluxe, anyone been, or heard anything about it?
