Hi - I was just looking through this thread at some dress ideas and came across yours....I know it's a little late....sorry...I'm not sure if you have it already. I'm not sure where you are in Ontario, but I went dress shopping in Petosky MI and I tried on this dress....they sell it for less than $500 - look up Pestosky Bridal and call them to see what they can do for you....this was one of my picks as well!

I'm in the same situation as you Boudou33....I've emailed them several times and have my TA on it now. I would like a date in April 2010 and I'm getting nervous as well. I just want to book a date, then I can stop being worried...

Hi...I'm trying to decide as well! By looking on this site I have narrowed it down to 3 resorts in Punta Cana - Dreams, Grand Bahia Principe and Magestic Colonial. My only problem is, the price is high for my guests.....we were looking at March 1-8 - Can anyone tell me why the first 2 weeks of April are the cheapest I heard around Easter they shut down water sports and let the locals on the resort beaches....can someone tell me if this is true because the price it right!!!

Hi - We went there in Feb and I loved every bit of it!!! I saw some weddings there too, but I would recommend the beach....the gazebo is nice, but you walk past the beach bathrooms to get to your groom...I'm not into that at all...lol

I've been looking at that one too and Mexico....same thing - but the prices are a little high for us....I'd pay that going alone, but not with guests - I wonder if they will come down.....I'd be leaving from Toronto

So I see I'm in the same boat as you....I was trying to find a place at time as well - it's btwn Punta Cana and Mexico (I love Mexico, but I'm afraid people will be worried about the Swine flew and bail) I also have a sister in law who is a CA, so March and April are out of the question and a sister who is a teacher!! May is looking pretty good right now, but I'm navigating through this site to find out where we should go!!! Good Luck!!

Wow....thanks for the congrats and welcome!!! This site is definately helping alot so far. I've been checking out Cabo now and already read your review on Dreams Tulum. I agree...the beaches in Mayan aren't the very best - but everything else is!!! I'll go check out the reviews on the Grand Bahia Principe - Thanks guys!!!

My name is Trish and my problem is that I don't know where to book for a destination wedding....we went to Mayan Riviera and stayed at the Grand Palidium Riviera in Feb and it was Amazing....the food was great and the resort was fantastic.....we saw a few weddings, but the gazebo is beside the beach bathrooms - gross!!! I've also been to Punta Cana and the food doesn't seem to equal up to Mayan. We have guests that will be coming to our wedding that are older and some younger that have never been on a Destination vacation.....so I want to make sure the food, drinks and resort are great for them!!! I would love to got back to Mexico, but all the news about the flew and "drug wars" are scaring me a little..... Another thing....I heard May is the start of herricane season.....so we're looking to go March, April 2010 - any suggestions for me other then stay home...lol Also, I would want to spend around 1500 a person leaving form Toronto
