I agree with the other girls...I think the 50 people minimum only applies to having a poolside dinner...and you can have as many / as little as you would like for a poolside reception. We didn't look at the dinner because we didn't want to pay a ton of extra money because we're there for the "all inclusive" deal anyways. We are having our dinner at Le Gourmet (fantastic food) and have just received confirmation that we can have a poolside reception after dinner... BUT...the pictures they sent me were for a poolside reception beside the jacuzzi tubs. I remember the area that this jacuzzi was in...and I don't remember it being very large...and I don't think there is really a place to dance. I have asked Karla if we could move this reception over to the (quiet) pool instead and I'm just waiting for a reply.

Thanks Katemex...I will contact them once we get back from Mexico and need our marriage certificate translated from Spanish to English. It sounds like ETS is very helpful. Midnight24...we are getting married at the GBP Coba and it looks as if we don't need anything translated before we go. The only thing they ask for is our passports. Here is a copy/paste of part of a document that was emailed to me from the WC at the GBP. Hope this helps you out...but when in doubt just ask your WC... REQUIRED DOCUMENTS Valid passports. In case the bride’s name is not the same in her passport than in her birth certificate and she wants to get married with the same name of her birth certificate she should bring her birth certificate (original) apostilled by the government of her country and translated into Spanish by a Mexican official translator (stamped). Driver license will not be accepted by the official. If the bride is widowed or divorced is necessary to bring her birth certificate (original) apostilled by the government of her country and translated into Spanish by a Mexican official translator (stamped), according to Mexican Law the bride must be 12 months divorced before remarrying. If the groom is widowed or divorced no additional documents are required. Tourist Card. Clients get this card upon arrival at the airport in Mexico . Medical Documentation: Blood tests (Sexually Transmitted diseases – VDRL, HIV, Blood Type) and medical certification stating that all results were negative and patient is physically in good health. Blood tests have to be done here in Mexico, we have a clinic at the Resort - (approximate cost: 90.00 USD per person). Four witnesses: two for the bride and two for the groom with valid passport (driver license) will not be accepted by the official. The witnesses have to be older than 18 years. All witnesses must come in person to the appointment with the wedding coordinator with their valid passport and tourist card at least 4 labor days prior to the wedding date. We recommend to appostille the certificate of marriage on site with the legal authorities… the process lasts around 3 months… ***I am going to do this last step back home...I will most likely use ETS to appostille this from Spanish to English...and then use that as documentation to do name changes

Arg!!! I am sooooo upset!!! I have been looking forward to this night for such a long time...and guess what?!?! I MISSED IT!!! I have seen every other episode of this season and have watched it faithfully every Monday night. I cannot believe that I totally forgot what day it was!?!? I normally work Mon-Fri but I had booked today off as a vacation day...went to the beach with the kids and some friends...was having so much fun...time just slipped away and we didn't get home until 11pm. Since I wasn't at work...I wasn't in my regular Monday schedule...and totally forgot about the show!!! I can't believe it...I'm so disappointed!!! But on a positive note...I had a great time with the kids and friends today

Have a fantastic day Desiree!! Congratulations and have fun!! -
This thread is hilarious!! I've come to the following conclusion... Either ALL men are the same...OR...we are all marrying the SAME man!! I will post mine later...have to give it some careful thought and consideration...because to narrow it down to only 3 or 4 each...hmmmm?!?! Hahahahahaha...

If you were only 5 people away from 50...maybe you could pay for those 5 extra if a private dinner was important to you?

What day of the week are you getting married?
emme replied to Mango6112's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
We're getting married on Thursday. Originally, it was going to be Friday because our charter package (flight/hotel) was Sunday to Sunday...but...things were changed and now our group goes from Saturday to Saturday. We had the wedding changed to the day before so that way people didn't have to worry getting up and being in a rush to leave after a night of fun.
