  1. Not sure what they would give you on a group rate but it's worth asking. The site now is only advertising the AI rates. What number is you WP calling because when I call the 800 number that's on the site Kim or Miriam always answer and if they have to check on something they respond back to me pretty quickly.
  2. it's either 24 or 48 hours but I also think it depends on your resort each probably have their preference and base it on what has to be done when you arrive because their government offices are closed on weekends
  3. I agree with Jacilynda if it's co-ed, maybe you should call it something else and if people bring gifts good, if they don't that's should be fine too, and that shouldn't seem inappropriate. I was invited to a shower/co-ed party but not to the wedding and I don't know if it was the brides fault or the shower planners but I thought it was iinappropriate. Now some people didn't bring gifts but that's just not my style, so good luck with whatever you decide.
  4. The knot has an article on tipping but not sure how much of it applies to DW. On the site if you type in Wedding Vendors: Tipping Cheat Sheet in the search box it comes right up. Sorry didn't know how to place the link here.
  5. We are stuck on who to have as witnesses because we don't want ANYONE to know. I suggested his grandparents since they aren't coming to the DW but they may forget it's a secret, there're like 90, and it may seem strange for us to kidnap them for a day. So we don't know who we can trust on this one.
  6. I went to Demetrio's inside Macy's in Tyson's Corner and to ROB in Rockville. I seen a dress in Demetrio's but I wanted to look some more I love options, LOL! I want something simple, that's not big, not ball gown like, not hot or too beaded, no train. I looked in alot of magazines and online and the only dresses I liked were Demetrio's, Maggie Sottero, and I seen a few from Nordstron but they may be too simple. JCrew has some nice dresses but they don't seem worth the prices. I love, love, love BCBG so if I find a dress there it's good as sold. So I'm still looking for now hopefully I will make up my mind by September. I'm kinda worried if I buy it too soon I will not like it later or want to change to another dress I saw, cause I do that sometimes. I may need to just have 2 and then see what I feel like that day, sad but true.

I haven't bought one but I guess it depends on what type/style you want. Nordstrom has some nice dresses that I think could be used. I'm actually waiting for the season to totally be over and dresses start going on sale.
  9. I feel you guys on the video, I don't think we will really watch it either. My date is 5/15/10. FI is all of a sudden having something to say and he wanted samples from the band and DJ. Kerry said she couldn't get a sample from the DJ and we really didn't like how band sample sounded. So we are in limbo at the moment about music. I hate the idea of creating my whole playlist for them to just come and push play and use their speakers. I asked Kerry can I hire my own DJ and she hasn't responded yet. Ceremony music maybe ipod, not sure. I really feel like I need a photographer booked and I'm still working on that. I didn't think the flowers were expensive and you have to consider if you do pack them are you gonna have to pay extra for your bag being overweight or having multiple bags. Another option is not to put one on every table and bring some small candles and seashells to decorate the table with or buy some cheap items when you get there. Kerry said they have rounds and square tables that seat 8. The tables can be scattered or the square tables can be set up in a U shape. Claudette did also mention that they moved her flowers from the ceremony to the reception which I think is good.

When they send them to me I will post here. I will be looking to do a shoot in Feb or March next year in enough time to get my pics back before the wedding. If they are not available, I am willing to go to dp one with Kamilla, but I would perfer to do it here. I am going to ROB for sure just having decided what time and if I need a game plan, LOL. I am willing to meet any of you ladies there, I believe tdmitchel is going also.

The regular rates seem the same as what I remember from previously, but I could be wrong. If you are already booked then you are fine you do not have to do the AI, it's for new bookings. If your guest are not booked then they should extend the same to them because the whole group has to be either or. So if you don't want AI they have to extend that to your guest, if you want AI then all your guest have to do AI. I booked when the grand opening rates were still available and I don't typicallly do AI so we are not doing AI. Claudette who got married in May stated in her review, a few pages back, some things about doing AI in her post. It's def your preference.
