Mario and I thought we finally found the place when we stumbled upon Barcelo Maya. The reviews and the pictures we found were amazing! The accommodations and amenities offered are just what we wanted... THEN IT HAPPENED!!!! We saw that they do not allow outside photographers! WHAT IS THAT?! I read through this thread and saw that some had used their photographer as well as the in-house photographer. Do they allow outside photographers if you still use the in-house? What is the smallest package offered by the in-house. We're already planning on flying our guy out and putting him up for the trip just so he can do our wedding.... This extra cost is unexpected, but we'll pay it IF they still let us use our guy.... thanks...

We are considering Azul Sensatori as our location...the pictures are absolutely gorgeous! They are fairly new, does anyone know how many weddings they've had? It's a little scary to book a place with little experience! Does anyone feel the same way? How is their beach? I heard it's still under construction with lots of seaweed floating up shore, is this true?!

Which time? The first or second time around?! Well, we were together for 4 years, broke up for 3 years (poor timing, college, careers, etc!)...then we rekindled our love summer of 2007, so it'll be an additional 2 1/2 years until our wedding date!

I'll be a 2010 bride also!! We're planning a Jan or Feb wedding! I'm not a fan of couples who have lengthy engagements, haha, so 1 year planning max! So much fun!

I got engaged on New Years, and my fiane Mario and I are planning a Jan/Feb 2010 wedding in Mexico also!! Choosing a location is sooooooooooooooo stressful! There are so many options! Have you nailed down your location yet?

I'm having the same trouble!! We're thinking Cabo because we absolutely love a photographer there, however we're thinking Riviera Maya because of the ocean! So confusing!!!!

Thanks all... We're almost 100% certain that we're having it at Dreams in Cabo. We are waiting for a response from the resort for dates available.

So we know we definitely want a destination wedding...where should we begin? Does anyone suggest traveling down to check it out before beginning the booking process? Wedding planner? I'm so confused!! Help girls! Sandra

Hi Everyone! Mario and I got engaged on New Years!! We've always discussed having a destination wedding...so here's hoping it'll come true! We're thinking Jan/Feb 2010 in Cabo!! Although we've never been there, we've seen so many beautiful pictures and heard so many wonderful stories...so anyone who's had their special day in Cabo please feel free to share anything and everything!
