I am thinking about bringing my own tan, white or bamboo runner that will at least lead up to the bridge. The red one they offer is on the sand leading up to the bridge.
  2. Hi ladies. I wanted to share some info that Jacy sent me: How long and wide would the rectangle table be for 20 people? 4.88m long and 1.50m wide How long is the aisle way where you usually put the red carpet? Around 12m Do you know how tall the posts are in the gazebo? 2.50m each When should I book appointments for the salon on our day for hair , makeup and nails? A month before the wedding Maybe this will help some of you:)

The tulle that was in Laura's pics and the lanterns in the gazebo hanging there, are included with no additional fee. The cocktail hr includes waiter passed cocktails. Maybe they just were not coming quick enough, but I told Jacy that this would not be acceptable for the guests to go to the bar. The Ultimate package comes with photog and video UNLESS you decided to exchange these items for other services. I also am making sure there is a business center or something to print welcome letters on since locations won't be decided until I get there. I booked a group excursion today as well. Don't know anything about the company other than what I read on-line, but the prices were not to be beat! Sail, swim, snorkel, parasail, and enjoy the Mayan Riviera with Paradise Catamarans. Our private catamaran charters make every outing a memorable event. What lanterns are you referring to that are free? The ones I remember were sort of long cylenders and I thought that was at the baracuda bar(everything seemed to be lighted red like it is in pictures?? Can you clarify? Thanks!!
  4. I ordered 11 snow white lanterns(5-24in, 3-16in, 3-14 in.), my palm leaf fans and my parasol last night from asianideas.com. I am hoping that 11 is enough lanterns for the gazebo, but Jacy still hasnt gotten back to me on some measurements I asked for. She did say that if I bring my own decor for draping fabric and hanging lanterns there would be no charge. Also, she confirmed that there is no charge to have the dinner in the gazebo If anyone who is having their wedding after July 2, 2009 wants to buy my lanterns(come with LED battery operated lights) I can leave them there for you(easier travel for both of us:)). Let me know.

They have lots of pretty colors. They are pretty simple, but I liked that and that they looked beachy. I may add a bit of sparkle to them, but havn't gotten them yet to see what I think. They say it takes 3 weeks to get them( I ordered mine almost 2 weeks ago). Wedding Flip Flops | Bridesmaid Flip Flops | 50+ Colors: The Dessy Group
  6. I am struggling to decide what fabric to use for our table runners and sashes. Organza is the most affordable but I love the look of dupioni silk. It is so much more expensive even if I bought my own fabric and made it. I was wondering if you girls had any suggestions for a long rectangle table, decorated with shells and accented with a table runner in turquoise? Anyone else using one that they want to share or sell? My wedding is July 2,2009.

I just don't want them gone by the time the bride gets there. I think the last bridesmaid could do it and it wouldnt be strange. No flower girl I assume? I think it would be wise to sprinkle them just before she comes because they are likely to blow away.

I emailed Jacy last week to make sure they could accommadate lanterns and fabric. She said they have plugs out there so we could use cords but she hasnt gotten back to me about how long the cords would need to be. I wanted to do LED to avoid the cords, but can't figure out how they would be turned on at night after they are hung up there?? Jacy is also getting back to me on measurments for the gazebo and tables.... Biance - Your measurments were great, I also asked for measurments of the total area(cement) inside that circle wall. Just want to get an idea of the space. Is anyone doing a runner other than the red one they provide? This is another measurement I requested:)

The photog is coming from Cancun, so don't know the reason for the room. We were wondering if he could use the groom's free room (Ultimate Package) the night before the wedding. I was told they HAD to book a room for at least one night and a day pass would not be acceptable. I originally was having a local photographer and it did seem silly, but now have someone else traveling in so it works out okay. I think they do it just to deter people from bringing there own so that their photographer gets work. Patsah and Monica C - I also have blues/turqoise/aqua color scheme. Let me know what decor you are using and maybe we can share costs? So far I have a few vases and votives but they are mother of pearl not blues. I am looking to buy chair sashes and a table runner as well as draping fabric for the gazebo and lanterns(this will be white). Is anyone else planning to hang chinese lanterns in the gazebo? Are you doing LED or plug in?
  11. GORGEUS!! I PM'd you for the snapfish number. Your pictures really make me so excited, only 109 more days
  12. I just got the info, but only wanted to order a very small amount( maybe 5 pair), I didn't realize there was a minimum order of 45
  13. Thanks for sharing! The one I had gotten was mostly of pics from when it was sunscape and seemed like a "model" instead of a real bride. These are better and the scenery really looks beautiful!

  15. BEAUTIFUL! What are you signing with the colorful design on it? It looks really fun:)
  16. I WON!!!!!! I entered a contest on this site to win free destination photography package from Danilea Garza and WON. I was so surprised. I am paying her travel expenses which is just about the budget we worked out for our photography. We were only able to afford a few hours and about 120 pictures, but now we have Daniela for the day before, the entire wedding day and a TTD shoot. Plus we get ALL the pictures on a CD in high resolution. I am so excited! CHECK: We also got our suits figured out. We had ordered the silk tan suits(which I LOVED) for the buy one get one free deal at Men's Warehouse. These suits were discontinued and they couldnt get us two sizes we needed. We decided to go with the linen suit instead and actually are saving even more money. Glad to have that sorted out.

Thanks! 2010weding Oh sorry it didn't work. Maybe you do have to sign in. It is Amy and Cole's wedding in Texas. There are ton of other good lantern photos on there. I really want have a candle lit dinner, but with the wind I may just do lanterns and submursable ligths that I found on: Save on Crafts LED Lights Floating Submersible Lite Ice Cubes ( 12 hr 3 function 1.5" ) BLUE (8 ice cubes) $24 They are kind of expensive but a really great alternative to candles and come in BLUE:) I though vases with water and a light would add a great blue hue to the evening.
  18. Thank you Daniela!! We are so excited and shocked at this announcement. Our wedding is July 2nd and I will absolutely share as soon as we return WOW, I am still a bit speechless.

  20. Who is Mr. Guzman that you all are referring to? Sounds great that we are starting to get some pictures of recent real weddings:) Is anyone using/renting vases or bowls to use for candles/decor? I emailed Jacy about this and can't get a straight answer on what will be available. My colors are blue and i was thinking about putting vases or tealight holders all along the wall around the gazebo. I thought either tinted blue glass or I may just use clear and fill with blue water or water and a floralyte in blue?
  21. I am also very curious how everyone is going to decorate the gazebo. I would like to drape fabric over the middle top post the down the sides to kind of replicate the beach arch i showed iin an earlier post. Not sure how much fabric I would need though. Bianca did a great calculation for havingt fabric across the ceiling and said it would take maybe 5o yards for a piece from each corner to the center. Here is a pic that sort of shows what I mean, but I would use white shear fabric and gather the white lanterns in the middle, then use blue LED ligts so at night they are blue... http://weddings.theknot.com/Real-Wed...3&pageIndex=22 Also, is anyone doing chinese lanterns in the gazebo? Are you using battery operated LED lights? I wanted to do this but then I wondered how to turn them on after they are hung. I wouldnt want them on during the day, but later in the evening(we are having our dinner reception in gazebo). Any ideas, experiences with this??
