I just got back from my weddingmoon in Belize and I find it odd that only a few places get mentioned - like the Victoria house. We stayed further South in Hopkins, Belize at Almond Beach / Jaguar Reef and it was breathtakingly beautiful. While we were there we saw them handle a large wedding and they did a beautiful job of our tiny wedding with just the two of us. Everyone there is able to meet your every need. Yes, I'm raving about the place because I had a fantastic experience with the resort & the people there. The owner is a very friendly person too. I just loved it there! I just got back from my weddingmoon in Belize and we totally loved it. We went to Almond Beach / Jaguar Reef and they were wonderful! It was not crowded, the rooms, service, food, daily adventures, value for your money, and wedding ceremony was absolutely wonderful. I am also getting married in Belize. We'll be at the Almond Beach resort in Stann Creek. So far, the staff has been very nice and they answer my emails within minutes (now I'm the one holding things up lol).

your slide show made me tear up! I must tell you that I have looked at a lot of reviews on here and yours is tops! That slide show was so cool and everyone looked like they had a blast. The music was perfect - and you two take great pictues! I don't even know you but I can tell you have a great sense of humor and a lot of love! I just wanted to share my thoughts with you - because watching this just made my day somehow. Thanks for sharing your special day!

I found some very cute accessories - they may look washed out on film though. I am still finding my "style" - but it's sooo fun! I really like the idea of a cord to bind our marriage / love. Very vintage headpiece - wonder how that would smoosh my hair? very different bouquet - This would be good for a Florida wedding - in the Gulf Coast with the sugar sand beaches! Oh - and the foot adornments! Can't for get that!

Thanks for popping in to take a peek at some of my wedding dress ideas. I think this style is beautiful, but the picture does not show the rest of the dress. Is there a train? No matter - it's classic beauty! I LOVE this one! I am tall (5'10") so this would really play up my height. I don't plan on wearing shoes anyway. I want to go barefoot during the ceremony to keep grounded in nature. Okay, now I'm going to play off of Shania Twain's style as featured in her music video "for always and for ever." I ADORE the off white / sand colors she has. Not tooo big on the crochet; but it does add texture which is awesome. Not so good for "trash the dress". But who cares - she does a version of trash the dress in the video. Check it out if you go to YouTube sometime. I will keep adding to this post as I gather ideas. Yes, the ladies here are right; it's YOUR day. While your Mom is right about keeping the expenses down and spulging on the honeymoon - it's your memories and you don't have to feel guilty about your choices. You will make the right decisions!

Hello everyone, I hate to be naive but I've got a LOT of questions about how to make the most of my wedding experience. I don't really know the order of things and dont have a line up of brides maids. I don't have any family where I live. I'm kinda alone! But that's not really the issue - I just want to list what I know about showers, weddings, and receptions - and I would like to know if I'm on the right track. I know there are no rules - I can do whatever I like - but I'm kind of not the type of person that thows parties - especially for myself. Wedding Shower From what I gather, this is a party thrown by my best girlfriends for me. I am supposed to be registered somewhere for gifts (or is that for the wedding gifts?) I am 36 years old and have a home, furnishings, towels, - I don't need any of those things. : ) I'd love to have some artificial turf in my front yard - or maybe some double pained windows - but those aren't exactly "wedding shower gifts" haha My point is, am I too OLD to be having these showers and all this "to-do" when I am kinda "over ripe". I've never been married, but somehow feel guilty about having my hand out expecting gifts. Wedding I have no plans, date, you all probably think I'm totally pathetic by now Anyway - do I have to invite his adult kids? We want to be selfish and get married all by ourselves. But does this take away from the experience? I'd love to have my dad and brother there. It's so much to ask people to travel in my opinion. Reception This is my biggest question - so after the destination wedding how do we share the experence with our friends? Do we rent out a hall or have a party at home. Do we tell people in advance that we are getting married but they are not invited? How does all this work? Do I wear the wedding dress at this reception? I feel so silly asking all this but I just don't know what is the "right" thing to do. I've been reading a lot of the blogs on this site and I am still learning what's out there. Hello everyone! I am here to read about others experiences and get some ideas on where to have my wedding. Yes, I live in Vegas, and NO I do not really want to be married here (well, not in a "tourist" type of fashion). I will have to get married sometime in 2009 since it takes a few months to plan things. I would like to have a beach wedding but am not unwilling to consider other ideas. An all inclusive resort would be great. My biggest concern is how to address family and friends. Those that can't come along to the destination wedding will miss out. What do we do? Have a reception when we get back? I am so uninformed and unable to decide the what, when, and where's! I've dragged my feet for a year and one month now and still have no date or any plans to actually tie the knot. EVERYONE (including my future husband) continually asks me "when are you/we getting married?" I say - planning a wedding is waaaay too difficult to do because I want everything to be just right. I am getting really superstitious over days, times of year, "good luck" dates.....EVERYTHING! Anyway - someone give me a kick in the pants, because I need some major HELP!
