I do mixed martial arts as a hobby and I have seen MANY girls with the same minor issue and it is fixed along with a balanced and healthy diet of course If you are not into that try dance.
  2. I "heard" that you can get deals from TAs. Say you book 20 people you get 1 for free. Is this a myth or do these types of deals really exist?
  3. Good news of the day is I finally got verbal and written confirmation that January 19, 2010 is booked at both the Chapel Nuestra Senora Del Carmen for the ceremony and Royal Playa Del Carmen for the reception. Zulma also gave me the prices for the reception today. For buffet it looks like $40-$48 for RPDC guests and $60-$68 for non guests. Children under 6 are free and over 6 are $15-$20. Cocktails are $25 per guest and $45 for non guests. I am gonna put a downpayment on my videographer now. My big dilemma now is booking the flights and hotel. I am getting crappy rates.
  4. Groom here. Booked January 19, 2010 at the Royal Playa del Carmen.
  5. This is what I have seen. It's not big enough and too narrow. Hopefully I can orient it any way I want. http://www.elizabethmedina.com/blog/...01/591_487.jpg

Hi Athena do u know if you can bet more than 6 blocks? I need A LOT more. A lot of my friends are professional salsa dancers and I expect us to have a few performances, which include myself and my future wife. I don't need the illuminated dance floor because we will be in the ballroom. Thanks for any info you can provide.
  7. Lol she emailed me today and said in so many words "I have received your email" Ugh how about my money and my deacon's documents? Argh so frustrating.
  8. Hey ladies, lone guy here....I sent my down payment electronically on January 22 but didn't receive any reply. After a week I contacted the Real Resort number in the United States. They straightened things out and Zulma contacted me within 2 days. I know they are swamped because even when I call Zulma there are other brides to be in her office talking her ear off and I get put on hold for minutes at a time eating up my phone card. Anyway my date is set for January 19, 2010. Now I am just waiting for confirmation from the Chapel to see if they got my money. They haven't responded yet either lol. I guess I am getting used to this.
  9. Spoke with Rosa yesterday and they said they have been offline for the past week and will try and get online today. If you could call them that would be best. Their hours are 10am-2pm EST.
  10. I would suggest to email her and ask the same questions and save her responses as a record. That's what some of the girls here told me. Good luck! I still haven't got back confirmation if my down payment was ok or not
  11. As of January 12, 2009, Zulma just said any outside videographers and photographers require YOU to pay $100 for each of them. Everything else seemed to be ok. I am bringing in a salsa band with 8+ people and she said that was cool. These were my questions to Zulma 1. In the FAQ I cannot find the policy for an outside photographer. I was thinking of hiring my own photographer I want to know the cost of bringing them in. 2. I don't see an option for a salsa band in your wedding checklist. I just see mariachi trio, DJ, saxophonist, violinist, guitar player, NO salsa band. How much to bring Balance La Banda in to the resort? Zulma's response "Hello, the cost for an out side photographer is 100usd, the external music doesn’t have fee for bringing theme to the hotel."
  12. Everyone keeps recommending Balance La Banda to me.
  13. Yes Rosa only speaks spanish and mine sounds like russian so I have my friend translate for me I am not sure about the price for the priest then. You are correct, I just said I am bringing my own deacon and wanting to use the chapel and they told me what the prices were thereafter.

Hope this helps... Thanks, yeah my bank didn't want that address but the destination Bank's address. I sent the payment through, but MY bank said they are not sure if it will be accepted since there was no address for the destination bank. They will find out in a few hours and I will give you guys an update tomorrow. I got charged $22.50 for this and another $22.50 for the church down payment. My bank is Scotiabank.
  15. I tried to wire money today but was having problems at the bank because they wanted the Bank's address. Does anyone know the bank's EXACT address? This is all I got from Zulma. 16. [email protected] Spoke with Rosa today so I think it is all good. I am going to the bank and will try and transfer the money to both the church and the Royal. I will let you know how it goes. By the way I emailed you and your sister last night with more info.
  17. Do you have any other packages for more than 5 hours? Thanks. HD is the way to go!
  18. Can anyone give STEP BY STEP directions how they gave a down payment to the church to hold their wedding date? Did you mail it, do it electronically...what was the EXACT process? Thx.

Did you book the church already? Do you choose a priest from this chapel or do you have to find your own? Do any priests speak english? Sorry so many questions but thought you may be able to help us out:) Hi MichP. Your sister and I have the exact same plans. Their hours are 9am-1pm Playa time. I am on EST so 9am means 10am for me. I called them at 011-52 (984) 873-0188 and spoke with Rosa. I am bringing my family friend (who is a deacon) down so I am able to specify my ceremony time. If you are using their priest then you are limited by what times they can offer. I think they have priests that do speak english. This may also help you out. Hi, yes I have been in contact with Zulma and as of last week: Outside photographers and videographers cost $100 each person. Outside Music/Band is no cost. Thank god because the salsa band has over 10 people in it.
  22. Thanks I think the chapel is what we will do also. Do you know how to transfer money to the church. It's all confusing. They gave me a Banamex number, branch number, and account number with a key. Then some confirmation key to enter. Not sure EXACTLY how this all works. My spanish is the suck so that is probably why. They gave me an email address so I could write more clearly but no one has responded. Also do you know if you can do a rehearsal the day before the wedding?
