  2. I wanted to let everyone know I found this website that is great your centerpieces especially for a destination wedding. Definitely going to look into using them on mine. They are these really cute vases that come in several different colors and best of all they come flat because they are made out of paper, but still look awesome. And they are very affordable too. The website is Blumebox wedding centerpieces, table decorations, place card holders, flower vases and potted plants and they also have links to videos that show you how they work.
  3. JHarwood2Be - I know what you mean about reading stuff online. There are so many wedding blogs and places to get great ideas. I found this great thing called, www.google.com/reader And you put in the blogs that you read on a daily basis and then updates you when there are new things and keeps it organized for you. Loving it So excited to hear about the new review on Trip Advisor. It's great to see that it is up and running and so far so good....
  4. Monique Lhuillier Miranda dress. Selling it for $2500 plus shipping (retails for $4500). It is one of the classic Monique Lhuillier gowns that made her famous. Made with Alencon lace and latte charmeuse slip. This gown is in excellent condition, and has already been professionally dry cleaned. There are absolutely no tears or stains. Looks like new. Bust: 35, Waist: 26, Hips: 35 Dress size on label is 6, but street size is 2. Took it to my seamstress, and it can be let out too. Height with shoes is 5'11 PM me if you have any questions Here are some pics:
  5. For those of you who have done a site visit. When you were in the "plaza" area. Was it really windy? Would you be able to keep candles lit? I remember being there, and it wasn't windy. But not sure

They don't recomend shipping stuff to Mexico, so we had to pack everything. Just be sure you weigh all your check-ins...they're strict w/ the weight restrictions! Oh and bring reciepts...the immigration people wanted to see ours since we had so much stuff. I think we looked "suspicious". Hey Girls, I found this very helpful, so I wanted to share with you what I found out about getting all of your stuff down to Mexico.
  7. Thanks so much for your help guys! I have decided to return these bags, because they are pretty large (I am going to have a fun Sunday at Old Navy returning 70 bags - oh the things we do for our "perfect" wedding) and get a smaller tote that will take less space up. But wanted to thank all of you for your help. Leia I am going to do the box thing and ask some guests to get stuff down to Mexico in disposable boxes. What a great idea to use boxes, I hadn't even thought of that and was only thinking of using suitcases. Which in no way is as good as boxes! Thanks again!!!
  8. I really want to do OOT bags for my guests when getting married in Mexico. I am having about 70-90 guests at the wedding. Since some of them will be singles, when ordering stuff, I got 70 bags for my guests. I found them at Old Navy and when they arrived yesterday, I am dumbfounded by how much space 70 bags take up! I tried fitting them in suitcases, and realized if i take all 70 bags then it will take up 4 suitcases! That's not going to work, since I also need to get other stuff down to Mexico like my clothes, etc. Does anyone have suggestions for getting large amounts of stuff down to Mexico for their wedding? I am going to ask some of our guests to take extra suitcases, but I don't want to ask too many. Shipping rules look complicated. But has anyone shipped anything to Mexico successfully and can you tell me how?? Or does anyone have other suggestions about getting it down there?

Does anyone know if Karimsa will allow real candles? If you have time please share some pics of your purchases. Would love to see them. Did you get approval to hang the lanterns? And as far as the candles, did you like the flameless ones?
  11. BTW, this is a photographer in Northern Florida that has a great blog for beach ideas. he does amazing weddings Paul Johnson Photography Blog

I really like your idea, and have been thinking about doing something like this. I want to know it's all going to work together.
  13. Wow! I love these pics so beautiful. I know we'll have to wait till May to see the actual weddings pics. But looking good so far. Here is what I am thinking Along the aisle on the beach (though, not quite sure how I would get them there, and don't know if Lomas can provide these lanterns) Love this alter I like the trio look of centerpieces with the bulldog picture (have a bulldog of my own that won't be able to make it physically so will put her somewhere in the wedding) But with a more romantic look in these vases I found online Like the look of this, but not sure how to make it work at Sensatori Great setup for favors Going to DIY these that I found on the Martha Stewart website And want to do lanterns along the Plaza too
  14. I bought ribbed tank tops from old navy ($7 a piece) and ordered these iron ons from online Wedding Favors: Bridesmaid Rhinestone Iron On ($3.99 a piece). I also got a maid of honor one too. And then sent them each with a card to ask them to be my bridesmaids. I am going to make one for myself that says bride, and we are going to wear them on the day of while we get married.

The organza tablecloths will be light, so they wouldn't be hard to pack. And, since you need a liner under organza as it is, I think it will look nice with a white tablecloth under. I was looking at that too. But couldn't find ones that I liked. What colors are you going with? What color organza are you going with? Are you talking about the sheer overlays like this? Would love to see pics of ideas that you have
  17. I agree about the Lomas website. It is so hard to know what they have available or what you can get if you ask about it. And even if you get a color for a tablecloth, then there are so many types of fabrics and looks after that. It's frustrating! I think that we should post it all on this link when we find out about what's available (i.e. chairs, tablecloths, ribbons, flowers, candles, lanterns, etc). Because if you look on Lomas, there is the traditional stuff, but doesn't mean that it what we want for our wedding. So girls, when you find stuff out about availability and pricing. Please post so we can help each other out
  18. Amy I can't believe your wedding is in 2 and a half weeks. That's great! Hope everything is going well
  19. I'm a November 6, 2009 bride. That counts right? So far we have picked the date, reserved the date with the hotel, started on our website, ordering save the dates, and I have picked a dress. Looks like I am on track... My hotel doesn't have rates for November 2009 yet, except through my TA. I want to see the rates from other places before I book and send out save the dates so that I know what's a good deal.
  20. Does anyone know if they charge for chairs? And if so, do they charge for both the ceremony and reception or just once? thanks, don't know what I would do with all of your help
  21. Hey Katken, thanks for your input. I am looking to have around 80 people. And when I saw that pic, I have become a little apprehensive that it is a big space for even 80 people. I don't want it to feel like space is daunting when the guests are there or when pics are taken. Another question, are the roundtables set for 8 or 10 people?

How many guests do you think is good to fill that area?
  23. Hey Girls When I did my site visit Carolina mentioned that we could do lanterns strung along the Plaza for the reception. However, I know that we need Nancy/Fabio's approval for this. I have not been able to get an answer (since my wedding is so far, I am low on the food chain for responses to emails). I wanted to see if anyone has gotten an answer about this. Or if your wedding is closer, do you think you will be asking them about this too. Thanks!
