I am going through DestinationWeddings.com for May 19 - 26 2009 at the Paradisus ...my quote was 2470.00 incl taxes and transfers for two people. Air fair is 449 through American right now. So it is coming out to be 1684 per person or 3,368.00 per couple. A lot of people are giving me trouble for it. Saying it is outrageous....is it outrageous? I thought for such a nice hotel and it is all inclusive and it includes transfers that it wasn't that bad. I feel like saying to them...then don't go for a week...go for a few days...it is over memorial day weekend...so it is a long weekend....they could go for a few days. They are driving me mental.

I think I am going to use and ipod as well. What kind of cables will I need to hook it up to the speakers. I read on an earlier post that I will need to bring cables? I am having my reception on the beach...will an ipod suffice? Also what about music for the ceremony...can I play what I want to walk down to?

Hey ladies! I am getting married in Punta Cana at the Paradisus Punta Cana on May 22, 2009. We originally were supposed to get married at the Paradisus in Mexico but we couldn't get the date the we wanted. I am happy that we are getting married in the Dominican Republic...my friends Matt and Dana go about 8 times a year and they love it (they are very picky) so I am very excited! I can't wait to get advice (because I need it) and help, and probably a lot of support from all of you!
