  1. Wow, I can't thank you guys enough! I didn't think anyone was going to answer and then popped back on and here's some great info. Really appreciate it. :-)
  2. What an awesome idea! That's a dry erase board. You can get it at any office supply store, or even Target or WalMart. Usually comes with a pen or two, but I would buy extras in case the pens dry up or disappear. They wipe clean with an eraser or paper towel. Obviously, you would just wipe it clean between guests. (Don't use sharpies on this type of board, as sharpies are permanent and the next person wouldn't be able to use it.) :-)
  3. Welcome! Wow, I can't believe 2010 is right around the corner, but it is!
  4. Hey, everyone! I looked around in the old threads, but I don't really see anything that answers my question specifically. Anyway, I working on my special gifts that I make for my brides, and I need some fresh inspiration and am hoping ya'll can help me. I'm looking for great love songs, not necessarily your walk down the aisle songs or your first dance songs (although those would be great, too). I would love to know the kind of songs that remind you of why you got married, why love is so great, remind you of your spouse, etc. Pop, jazz, standards, whatever. I hope it's ok for me to ask this here. I thought who better to ask what brides would like than brides themselves, and I can't ask my current brides as it's a surprise! Thanks a bunch!
  5. Oh, gosh. I love Siena so much, too. What a beautiful place to get married. Congrats!
  6. Oh, wow, that isn't much time to plan, but you can pull it off, for sure! Good luck!
  7. Yay, Disney! That's going to be fun. Welcome!
  8. A winter bride, how nice (even if it's all sunshine where you are). Congrats!
  9. Wow, that's coming up soon! Congrats!
  10. I have to go with #3, not just because they are super gorgeous, which they are, but because they seem to have the same toning of color as the dress.
  11. Order them in advance. You never know what will happen, what if you are left with no flowers? You don't want to have to worry about anything on your wedding day. We had a bride a few weeks ago that had her mother doing the flowers. She ended up with silk because they couldn't find what they wanted/enough the weekend of the wedding, and that was in their own city.
  12. Wow, not only do they match but I LOVE the design of both. That give me some ideas for albums. Thanks!
  13. Oh, boy, difficult mil's are the worst. Did you marry my ex-boyfriend? His mother was like that. But, I think you are overreacting just a tad. She didn't really invite herself. She asked if it would be ok if she came down. What if your hubby told her both of those weekends were not good. She'd probably pick another weekend or not come. Even with all of her faults, she is still your husband's mother, so I think you should put up with her - within reason. It serves you and your marriage best if you can make nice and get along. If she is disrespectful to you, your husband should put an end to it. But if she wants to visit, you should tolerate it. Try not to fight about this, it's really not worth it.
  14. Mexico seems like it would be the most reasonable for your guests. Good luck and happy planning.
  15. That's awesome, my mom always talks about how beautiful PR is. What a wonderful place to get engaged and married.
  16. Welcome and I love your name. It's coming up soon! Congrats.
