  1. Oh, and write vows, and pick (and download) all the music for the reception and buy and iPod and speakers for the reception. I'm doing a DIY hair trial with my stylist sometime in the next few weeks. I need to find a hair flower and buy clothes for the honeymoon, find wedding jewelry and shoes, buy a wedding band or a new setting. We do have our OOT bags done, and my dress and Isaac's suit are hanging up ready to go, and everything is set for the resort.
  2. Yay! Congrats!! I can't wait until we're legally married. I am just now working on my invites (well, I was until I got on the forum), but they're technically for our AHR June 6. I also have to make our guest book and also the welcome books for the guests at the resort. I think there's a bunch more to do, but I can't think of it right now. I'm on the forum, not working on wedding stuff!
  3. By the way, I think this answers the "do we tip the wedding coordinator?" question...
  4. Sorry, girls! I am back, and have been scrambling at work ever since. You know how that happens after a vacation. Apparently my doctor has decided that since we didn't work for that week, we have lost money and need to make it up now. Anyway, we had a great time! Because of Semana Santa (Holy week), everything closed for 2 weeks. Don't ask me, I guess Mexicans don't like to work in the springtime. I didn't find a job, and Isaac didn't get to talk to the school, but we did look at a few houses. Most important, Isaac realized that it may be a better idea to rent a house rather than buy one. I guess he had to figure it out for himself! We also rented a car and found our way around the city. By the way, it's a huge city, if you weren't aware. I'll try to re-locate my camera tonight and figure out how to post pics. We'll see how this goes. Thanks girls!
  5. I've been away from the forum, so I'm a little late to this game. My theory: EDR has been less than accommodating. I have only paid the $100 deposit. If they try to jerk us around now, we change our venue completely and all stay somewhere else. If they wait until we get there to give us trouble, we simply do not pay for the wedding and either have a ceremony location elsewhere picked out, or simply walk a few steps down the beach and have our symbolic ceremony off of EDR property, minus the gazebo and decorations. I'm not doing enough for this to really hurt them with the loss of money, but it will make me feel better and they will see my point. I may just have my dad or FFIL (or both) prepare something to say for the ceremony just in case.

  8. Welcome! I'm 25 too! We can't wait to hear more of your wedding plans!

Let's see, we're "borrowing" most of Morgan's templates (check out her blog), as well as lots of stuff in her OOT bags. She has a great letter to guests on the Cancun airport, as well as a welcome letter. Hence the member of the month logo under her name. (Now, who's got something to bring Morgan's ego back down to earth?)

Though, i better check with FI first....see what he thinks about it. (He still in under the delusion that this is going to be a SIMPLE wedding! Fool!) She's already creative director on my wedding and doing a fantastic job! Just keep her away from origami doves.

Wait, I guess you are paying for my wedding. LYMYMI!
  15. Maura, I love the new siggy! And you've turned Mexican for sure!! Uyyyy? I haven't heard that since I've been back in this country!

  22. Those are super cute! If I were a guest, I might have to put my mark on every single page!
  23. Thanks for the review. Makes me glad I'm working with Valeria rather than Monica!
