  1. I was thinking about sending the invites out in November. So everyone will have received them prior to seeing them for the holidays. Then maybe RSVP due Feb 1st. I don't know if it is all too early, but I feel I need to due to a lot of slackers. I don't want a ton of last minute surprises!

I assume this is not the case at the other Karisma resorts, because it is not specifically noted on the contract, and I really hope that this is also not the case at the Sensatori. Does anyone know anything about it yet? Unfortunately, I don't think we will know that until the resort opens and one of us reports back from a site visit. Azul Beach is a pretty small resort. Maybe Sensatori will have some better options.
  4. You girls are doing great!! Now, I'm feeling like a slacker. Well I know I am, but I feel we have plenty of time, right? I have- booked location and room purchased dress created website sent out passport STD booked photographer I have a lot to do on my list, but I am trying to keep it as simple as possible. I don't want to start on OOT stuff till I have a better idea of who is coming. Tiffany-you are a neighbor and a date twin! It looks like you could have your wedding next week and it would be complete and beautiful. Way to go!
  5. Wow! They are great. I can't wait to see the slideshow! I bet you can't either. Congratulations!
  6. I completely agree! There might be some chains of resorts that are more reasonable, but mine definitely isn't!

I just sent a reminder to Fabio. Maybe he has a confirmation for me too!

  9. I loooooove college football, especially The Buckeyes. I grew up in Ohio and graduated from OSU in 2003. You'd be surprised to find OSU bars in Texas. We like to go and have so much fun on gameday. That wedding reception sounds like a lot of fun!

We are big beach people and she said the beach there was great. I will post pics and review as soon as I go Thanks for stopping in! That's great to hear from your TA. Be sure to report back to us how it all went. There really isn't too much info/reviews of Royale Photo and Caribe Photo. There has been some talk lately of Mexican Wedding Photos. I think some girls may have just booked with them. Try to do a search. Claudia Photo is great, but her prices for Azul are $900 greater than any other resort. I'd rather pay the $500 then. Quote: Originally Posted by jennik13 Just FYI... If anyone else has lower, please let us know!
  12. Yay!!!! It looks fabulous, the sweetheart neckline is going to make it even better!
  13. Anyone except for Del Sol can shoot at Azul for a $500 fee or 3 night stay. Before placing a deposit with her, just make sure to get it approved in writing by a coordinator.
  14. Welcome! You'll find tons of info here. You should find a lot on Riu Ochos Rios. Also check out tripadvisor.com for traveler reviews and photos. Happy Planning!
  15. Fantastic photos! I cannot wait for the pro pics. Everything looked great and like so much fun! Congratulations!

And then there's the decision about spending the big bucks for a mariachi. I have 8 months....plenty of time right? Morgan, that is super crappy about Claudia photo. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that. I wonder if for a $5000 fee they'd allow Del Sol ?
  17. Ok, ok....jumping on the bandwagon. Will you please email me the spreadsheet? I wanna see it too! jennyandbrad at yahoo dot com
  18. Thanks for your review! It sounds like there were somethings that could have been better, but overall you were happy you went there. I don't see how Nancy still has a job! She was my contact prior to booking the wedding. She is very frustrating. I'm working with Fabio now. I feel like he knows what he is doing. I really enjoyed meeting Carolina at our site visit. That meeting made me feel so much better about booking at Azul. Congratulations on your marriage!
  19. Your photographer can photograph your wedding at Azul for a $500 fee or 3 night stay for the photographer. Congratulations on winning the contest!

  21. Hi Abby! Wow, you will be the first person there! Have you set an appointment with a wedding coordinator or are you going to ask when you get there? Are you looking at any other resorts on your trip?

Are any of you working with Fabio yet? Hi Amy! Welcome to the forum We are happy that you found us! I'm curious, how is the planning going? What have you done so far? Do you know who the on-site coordinator is? I haven't done any solid planning. I'm waiting for them to get a few weddings under their belt. I was just wondering how it is going with the resort not being open.
  23. Congratulations! It was a beautiful wedding. I loved your cake!

My favorite there is the Raptor (feet dangling coaster) -- you come down off the first incline and it looks like you're going to go right into the lake....front seat is the BEST for this one...oooooooops, sorry to hijack. I'm going to have to agree here! I grew up going to Cedar Point every year. Now I think I am ruined because no other amusement park measures up, in my opinion. When I saw this post, I thought mmmmm chocolate. Do they have a factory tour there too?
