  1. Oh, I"m sorry that happened. It my happened to my family coming into Cabo. They cancelled their flight and automatically put them on another flight that wasn't going to work with their connecting flight into cabo. It could've been a huge mess, but it was caught. I know it's another big headache you don't need, but it'll work out!

  2. I've started circuit training, and I think it has helped. When I do weights, I go from one exericse to the next. I don't take breaks in between sets, I just go to work a different muscle. Last night I upped my weight on my lunges, and I think it's something I really needed to do. Also, another good exercise for your butt is on the stability ball. Lie on your back with your feet on the stability ball and lift up and down, and then roll the ball out and back in to work your hamstrings. I really like this one.

I think its a little pricey but hey if it works why not! Hope this helps someone out.

Okay Drea for the flabby arms you can do lots of arm exercises. You can do the obvious free weight bicep curls, tricep extension. You don't have to use heavy weights you just have to try to fatigue your muscles. Try doing dips on a chair or a bench if you go to the gym. Using your own body weight you slowly dip down. Can you do push ups? This gets arms pretty toned as well. Also the Windsor pilates for upper arms is great. It uses light weights but does the exercises in such a manner that your arms kill. Let me know if you want any arm exercises I'll give them to you.

Okay for the girls with thigh problems. This is an especially hard area to tone for women. Especially since a lot of it has to do with genetics. But you can try some exercises. Obviously doing cardio to shed some of the fat is a good step. Toning wise, you can do the abductor and the adductor machine (or the slut machines as my FI calls them). For those of you who don't know what I'm referring to, its the weight machine where you press your thighs together and then open them up. You I have toned my thighs significantly by doing the following exercises:

    1. I do the adductor machine: 3 sets of 12 reps in each set
    2. I do the abductor machine: 3 sets of 12 reps in each set
    3. I do plies: 3 sets of 12 reps in each set
    4. I do squats: 3 sets of 12 reps in each set
    5. I do lunges: 3 sets (right and left leg) of 12 reps in each set

I started using a 8 pound weight and then increased it to 10 pounds the second week and then 12 pounds the third week. I would hold the freeweight pounds in my hand whil doing each of these exercises (except for the machines which have their own weight)

    Hope this helps!
I"ve heard of ARbonne, I've been invited to a few parties, but haven't been able to attend. I didn't realize it helped acne too. They were promoting it as an anti-aging skincare line.

As for the above exercises, I totally need to get on the abductor/adductor machine, and I need to increase my weights. Those are 2 things I haven't done, and i'm down to weeks, so that is exactly what I'm going to incorporate into my final countdown workout routine!

Thanks for thread and the help!

    Funny!! I love grandparents!!

We have 30 people coming, so it's small. We will have about 30 minutes to have group pictures before the cocktail hour. It was my mom's idea for us having appetizers. She thought it was necessary, so be it.

Oh and I hate the cellulite on my saddlebags - thanks MOM!
This is me too! Skin - every time I have quite using proactiv, I start breaking out. I only use the toner and the repairing lotion. the cleanser is just too much for my skin, but the toner and the lotion - skin saver for me!!

my saddlebags and my ass, and my knees, I think they're weird looking, but I don't think there's anything I can do about those!
  6. I don't mean to be a downer, but I was just reading in, I think it was Business Weekly, but it was some business magazine I found while at the gym this past week that the cost of flights would be increasing. Not only due to the cost of fuel, but because of the new Delta/Northwest Merger. Business Weekly said not to be surprised if you start seeing more of these mergers happen, and with these mergers, a higher ticket price.

Right! It is to appease my mom, so 5 it is. Thanks for all your inputs. I didn't up the amount , and right, I want people to be hungry and enjoy their dinner.

    Hi girls,

I was just wondering how everything was going for you all? Maura, has the Westin cooperated yet with you?

Our wedding day is one month today! I have received our final BEOs for the ceremony and the reception. That was interesting. Look very carefully at these when you get them because it took 2 days to get them straight. There were several mistakes including the wrong reception time, the wrong salad, and only one sound system listed. I also noticed on our consumption resume, she was charging me 8.00/slice of cake. anyway, this has all been taken care of and I'm going to make the payment today.

I noted it on Barrie's other post about musician fees, but I'll say it here again, it said on our BEO that the Westin SHOULD provide all vendor related services, but there's nothing saying they must. She must've known about our photographer, and I told her we had contracted a florist on our own, and she said the hotel would accept it, but they have to really. If you all would like a copy of these, let me know, and I'll email them to you.

I'm just so interested to see how it all pans out! I'm glad I now have everything on paper and in emails. I'm glad Lorena corresponded with me entirely over emails, and I'm so happy she negotiated the bar package with me!

I'm also just so happy to have found this forum because I definitely think we have saved so much money and possible headaches because of this forum!

  9. Barrie,

I just got my final BEO and in the small print it says that we should go through the hotel for flowers, music, etc. If you want I can send you a copy of that, but nowhere does it say I must go through them. I told her we had found our own flowers and photographer, and she said they would make an exception! so nice of them, but there really wasn't anything she could do. As for the music, I did find an email from her from long ago that did state we had to use their union musicians.

  10. Lorena just told me the exact same thing except it was 150.00 per musician. For some reason she thought I was bringing a mariachi group in, which I'm now glad we chose against. She was also trying to talk me into a DJ, and she would get me a DJ for a good price, but all I want is a sound system. I'm just so tired of dealing with them. smile43.gif

  11. That does seem high. I managed to negotiate with my hotel for a basic bar - beer, house wine, margaritas, pina coladas, soft drinks, and water for 51.00/4 hours. I was originally going to have a full bar (not top shelf) for 3 hours at 53.00 for the 3 hours. Our friends and family are definitely drinkers, but we didn't think they needed the whole bar, so I'm so happy they were able to negotiate this with me. If you ask, I bet they willl negotiate something similar to this.

  12. We have decided on assigned seating. We are having 31 people, but we just thought it would be best if we seat people where we think they would be happiest like family with family and friends with friends. We've decided on 2 long tables, and we will sit amongst our family at one table. But, i'm sure there will be a lot of mingling!
