  1. I am feeling the exact same way!!! When we started looking at resorts... the ROR completely stuck out to me. When I price compared at that time, I felt it was really a good deal for everything it offered and totally doable for most of our guests.

So back in May when packages were opening up we started having our Canadian guests book. Well these were mostly Sean's family -- and price wasn't really an issue.

Well now that it is coming time to have my family and all our U.S. friends book... I'm finding the prices have rose quite a bit and with the way things are right now a lot of guests are dropping out. I still love everything I see about ROR and think we will have an amazing time... but honestly if our CA guests weren't already booked I would consider looking elsewhere (probably Maya Riveria which was our 2nd choice and currently has some better deals) and starting the planning process over.

But in the end... I think it will all be worth it and work itself. The important people will be there... the lcoation will be amazing... and we will have a great time.

I agree... the heart and the square could be later used as a keepsake of some sort. I think they are nice and simple and would work well with any cake.
  3. I think you can go either way. If you go artificial you can have it attached to a hair comb or clips of sorts. When my cousin used a real flower they just told the florist what flower they wanted and the florist added something tomake it more sturdy in the back sothat the hairstylist could easily clip it in.

Hopefully someone has a better explanation though.

Do you have any inspiration pics? I'm blonde also and struggling with the hair flower thing. I LOVE when people with dark hair have them... but haven't seen a ton with blondes.

  4. When I started planning I went in thinking I would skip the veil and go for a pretty, tropical flower.

But once I started dress shopping, I became a bit wishy-washy. My mom kept telling me I needed veil - so I was going to do both and compromise.

Well when my dress came in last week and we were at the salon trying it on... to appease my mom and grandma I tried on a huge variety of veils. (I was thinking something short, light to appease my mom). Well I ended up falling in LOVE with a veil - totally got the whole bride feeling - and realized it defintely completed the look for me.

I may bring a flower for the reception or the TTD session though - because they are so cute!

  5. I absolutely LOVE the dress you got! It was one of my favorites.

Did you try both on while you were therehuh.gif If you are seriously having second thoughts... go back and them on again... bring some friends or family who you know will you give you their honest opinion.

But in the end, go with the dress that YOU love. It is your day - you want to be in a dress that you love and feel beautiful in. Your FI defintely spoke too soon.... but realize that no matter what you are wearing he will see you as beautiful and stunning.

  6. Congrats and Welcome Back!!!

I'm sorry you had so many issues... but sounds like you handled them wonderfully! I hope I can have the same laid-back attitude when its my turn.

Yikes... another not so good review though for ROR/Chandyln. I hope they turn things back around over the next few months.

What sort of room did you stay in? What did you think of it?

Can't wait to see some pics!!!!
