You are all right- I will still have fun on Sunday no matter what, and I probably won't really think about it too much once we are there, its just all the anticipation. He has a dentist appt. this morning and then a work function tonight (I know these are real) but he said he's not sure if he's going to work in between so he's going to leave his out-of-office on all day. He hasn't said what he's going to do this afternoon and I didn't press. Hm....

I know, you're right. It would be like him to not do it but I'm trying not to make a big deal about it with him. I just need to say something to someone about my suspicions. It will be fun no matter what happens.

Very cute! There are 2 Bostons that live downstairs from us and they are sooo cute together- I think they are sisters. They like to play with the HUGE pitbull that lives in the building and I get nervous when I see them all together.

Some of you know that I am not officially engaged yet, but we have been planning for quite a while. I had last mentioned that I thought he'd propose anytime now and I've started to get very frustrated. He says he has the ring, and it is in the house somewhere. I don't think it is, but I'm pretty sure he has ordered it (custom design). Anyway, out of the blue last night he says "do you want to go to the Cape on Sunday and get pizza?" (My favorite pizza place is down the Cape.) This is after he checked the calendar that he asked me to put on the fridge (2 days ago) because he can't keep track of everything we have going on. Bottom line, I think he has something up his sleeve and if he doesn't, I'll be disappointed. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I was looking at the Quickutz today and I didn't find a starfish. I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for the offer!

Does anyone know where I can find a starfish punch and/or starfish die cuts? I've looked a bunch of places and all I've found are stickers and stamps. Thanks!!

There's a place on Martha's Vineyard that we have booked tentatively. They re-open in May so we'll check it out then. I wanted to get married there since I was a kid (before I wanted the Caribbean). So we'll see! I've stayed there before, but it has been a few years and they are doing lots of renovations and updates. Hi ladies (and gents), I've been MIA for about a month or so, spending most of my time searching for a new job.... When I do check BDW, there are SO MANY unread posts that I get so overwhelmed!! It's awesome that there are so many new members with great ideas, but I can't keep up! Still no engagement yet, but it should be coming in the next couple of weeks. Mike claims the ring is in the house somewhere, but I don't believe him. I just dropped him off at the airport for a week-long business trip and I don't think he'd trust me in the house by myself. I hope you are all doing well- miss ya!

Glenda, watch Gone Baby Gone- those accents are real Boston accents (except for Bea and her husband). I grew up here but I don't have too much of an accent unless I've had a few drinks. Then it gets wicked bad. I'm glad you enjoyed our city. And next time, all of the diners are out here in "Woostah". There are a handful that are open 24 hours so you could get your Irish Nachos.

Thanks for all of the support and suggestions! I will definitely look into all of the sites/ideas you mentioned. I'm having lunch tomorrow with my old boss from the company before this one- coincidentally. They are completely restructuring their marketing group and there are a few jobs I am interested in.

I was laid off yesterday. I sorta thought it was coming, but to be honest, I didn't think it would be this quickly. They eliminated our entire department (marketing), half of the sales dept. including the VP and who knows how many tech people. For a company of 40 people, that's a lot! I haven't had a budget to work with for 6 months so I've been BDW crazy at work. Now I'm on the job search so I hope that I can withdraw myself to focus on that. If anyone knows of any marketing jobs in MA, please let me know!

My sister used them for her DJ, photographer and videographer. I would say that her photos were okay, and the DJ was annoying and didn't play all of the music they wanted. The video was pretty good, but not spectacular. Nothing was terrible, but I won't be using any of the same vendors. Some people might think they're fine, it just depends on what your priorities are.

In my experience, the previous schools have to send the transcripts directly to the school(s) you are applying to, and they will also send a copy to you directly at no charge. I think I've received a couple via email. They need the original with the school's seal or whatever so they know they weren't tampered with.
