  1. Wow ! What a beautiful beach gazebo! Her husband is too funny in that last picture ! Priceless !
  2. Hum... did I miss anything? I am just wondering why your dress doesn't fit in the 1st place? Did you gain weight after buying it or did you buy a smaller size as a goal to loose weight? Of course, I was planning on loosing 10 pounds for my wedding... I've been wanting to do that for years now ! ! But the more I stress abut it, the more I gain ! I di not think I am fat but all I wanted was to loose a bit of "back fat" and flooppy arms fat ! ! SInce I knew this may not happen for my wedding, I bought the right size dress (one size bigger to let the person who does the alteration not have difficulties). Then, when I got it, I took away the size tag ! Don't forget, once you will be there, you will probably feel tight in your dress because of the humidity ... I would just get it sized properly to avoid all this stress. You will still be beautiful in it ! !
  3. Jr. Suite Ocean Front (wrote by Lisa G) Lisa, if this is the room you reserved, then you did get a free upgrade ! From the pictures of your wedding, you were at a Dreams suite ocean front ! Lucky you! I saw a honeymoon suite and to tell you the truth it is just a tiny bit bigger but it is much nicer ! Your room in seperated from the living room, there is a flat screen tv and more sitting places. In the new sections (Dreams room) there is 8 honeymoon suites (4 garden view, 4 ocean view) And beware, one of the honeymoon suite is on the 1st floor next to the bathrooms + towel area ! Everyone walks there to go to the bathroom or to get a new towel; not to forget that it is about 10 feet from the activity pool ! ! ! But you have an ocean view... only at night since alot of people are tanning during the day in front of your door ! ! !
  4. It all depends on room availabilies... I as lucky since we arrived there when the resort was not even half full (Dec 8th). We all had upgrades except one couple since they arrived 2 days after. We reserved the deluxe garden view room (lowest price) and got a suite in the new section. Once all my guest left, the resort was almost full (Dec 15th) Upgrades would of been impossible at that time. Not everyone who gets married there get upgrades... so if you really want a certain room, I suggest you do like Lisa, pay for it and them hope they will still upgrade you (same room type but at a better place... maybe the new sections! )
  5. I had a small wedding (15 guests) and to tell you the truth, once the restaurant (portofino restaurant at Dreams Tulum) gave us our desert (chocolate mouse cake) no one had room for the wedding cake that was served 45 minutes later ! I wish the restaurant would of only served the wedding cake... but my dear husband was really really happy to have a 2nd chocolate desert and we got to bring + eat the rest in our room. !
  6. Mine looked like new after doing it.... twice ! Dreams Tulum does not have a very nice swimmable beach (rocky) so I went with my photographer to another place to have my TTD pictures done. That way, it was private and the water in the beach was great ! After the photos, I took my dress off (I had a white bathing suit under it) and put it in the water since I had lots and lots of sand in it ! I took picture before with the horses and mine left some dark brown spots on it (if you know what I mean!) on my train. When I went in the salty water, everything came of ! I think salt is magic on fabric that is dirty ! Since I still had some sand in my dress and that it smelled "the beach", I put it in my bath for the whole evening. The next day, the dress was floting on the water and there was lots ans lots of sand on the bottom! 10 days after, I re- TTD but this time in the pool at Dreams Tulum. Again, nothing happened to my dress. But, it all depends on the type of dress you have...
  7. Thank you everyone for all the nice comments about my girls and the twins ! As you can see, one looks like me and the other like Marc !

  11. HUM... really? Majestic Punta Cana looks like a wonderful hotel ; I wanted to get married there. I was a really close call between there and Dreams Tulum! But hey, if you had a 25 000 $ ring, you would be getting married elsewhere! That must of been a huge rock ! If you get something stolen, usually you need to prove that it was stolen ! It is her word against the hotel manager. Who says she realy got it stolen? You cannot just accuse someone, you need to prove it unfortunately; otherwise, anyone can say that they got something stolen to get a new one! Prices of insurance would be so high if that was the case! I that was me, I would of stayed there ! You just do not leave a 25 000$ ring there. Sometimes, people just say things to get something free in return, or to get attention. If this is true, didn't she know that you never bring on a trip things that are soooo expensive ? I have my engagement ring on one hand and my eternity wedding band on the other until my wedding day... These were never left in the safe. She will have some problems with her insurance, I am sure ! They will need some proof it was stolen !

We had a underwater camera to do a few shoots.

I got my big vase at Waltmart (the day before my flight!) and the 4 small vases at Pier one... I think ! Look for my thread on sand ceremony vases, I took pictures of them before I left and wrote down the store.
  15. My husband took all of those pictures in the pool and I must tell you all that this was done in about 20 minutes since he wasn't comfortable with all the attention this was giving us ! ! ! But I am so happy he did it ! People were laughing and some were wondering what I was doing ! ! My girls were in their bathing suit watching all of this and they were gigling the whole time !
  16. Many of you have seen my wedding pictures + TTD pictures + horse pictures Annie and Marc No one in my family knew I was going to TTD my dress the next day! I told them that Elizabeth knew a wonderful garden in the area that would make very nice pictures! I wanted to surprise my parents once I got my wedding pictures... and yes, they were surprised and everyone loved the pictures But I had to show them my dress since no one believed me is was like new ! I really wanted to do a 2nd ttd at the resort since the pool is so nice there. How to do that when your family is always with you and you do not want them to know ? ! Most of my guests left 1 week before me but my parents stayed until THE DAY BEFORE ! So 20 hours before my flight, I did my TTD. And yes, my dress had enough time to dry ! Here a a few pictures...
  17. I got married in RM and I was at a 5 * hotel (Dreams Tulum) The milk there comes from goat... Yes it does taste different. both my kids did not like the milk. So they had to eat cheese instead for their calcium intake.
