first of all - i got the package!!! i had to leave the office for a settlement and my assistant called and said i had a package from you - i haven't been back to the office (just got home!) and can't wait until tomorrow so i can go and open it!!!!!!

and your dress is magnificent!! who makes it? are you selling that too? LOL
  2. he thinks that the wedding dress is special and for the ceremony - should be a bit more formal (and prob less comfy LOL) and then a 2nd party dress that is very sexy, shorter, tighter and that you can dance all night.

i really want to buy one dress that i LOVE and wear it as long as possible so the thought of having to take time away from our family and friends to get changed and spend money on a 2nd dress and accessories just doesn't sound like fun!

you've probably seen a zillion pics of me in my wedding dress - there are some in my siggy. but here is one in my "other" dress later in the evening

Yes, I will have about 4 epipens + a few bottles of benadryl for my 2 children (both are severly allergic... even to the touch they react!).

This allergy is quite commun now in the States + Canada, but how is it in Mexico?

I will be bringing lots of deserts for them but are the labels there as precise as here (every ingredients are written + "may contain peanuts" warning) .

My FI is allergic to Shellfish (yeah not so great when we travel coastal!), we always contact the resorts in advance and then bring a letter with us (translated into their language) and show the restaurant manager / waiter to show the chefs. they really appreciate this and we don't have to make a scene or try to translate about something so serious with mistakes!

CARLY - me too, but i think i'm going w/ laser hair removal first so i don't have to worry about THAT on our honeymooon, lol...
there are different 'plans' but as a general i would say $3000 to $6000 for both eyes depending on the type of surgery and follow up plan.

I am going to have surgery tomorrow at the VA in Minneapolis. Last November my docs found a tumor in my left kidney. To make a long and dull story short, we don't know and even after the surgery, may not know if the tumor is malignant or not. I vote "NO".
So if you have an extra minute, I would sure appreciate a good thought or a prayer. Thanks.

I will talk to you all in a couple of days.

    Love ya,

    Lizzy
Stay strong - i will pray for you!!!!

  7. i wouldn't buy that for them unless they were tech savvy or really into pictures. i know a couple of people that have them and they tend to stop using them after a couple of months. i always like to give timeless gifts for wedding presents - something that they can / will use in 10 years and smile.

but everyone is different and they may really love it - the majority on here would and these girls are pretty savvy!

  8. (both sides combined)

we are looking at having 6 or 7 each! it sounds crazy to me because it will be half of our attendee list but we both agree that these people are so important we cannot get married without them standing for us!

i guess i started thinking about it more from the financial perspective - more pressure on them to 'have to go'. more gifts, etc.

i love hearing all your situations!

    :)

  9. Has anyone else had Lasik? i had it about 3 weeks ago and was wondering if any of you had it and if so, what kind of after effects you had?

My eyes have been getting tired really quickly from adjusting, especially on the PC and in the car at night.

The doctors say this is all normal and takes some time to go away but it is always comforting when someone else is / has gone through something similar!

    Thanks!
