I am doing plated, and was able to do two different dinner options. I chose to do the Sea Bass w/ tyme & lobster sauce and the Rum Butter jerk chicken breast on the same plate. Don't think that answers your question, but thought you might like to know

Hey Jill, I had been e-mailing Claudia and her assistant several times a week for the last three with no response. Seth called the long distance number today and was able to talk straight to Claudia and get some answers for me. This helped A LOT! I was really getting frustrated!! So it might be worth the call?? Good luck!! Did anyone else see, it looks like it's been raining in Cancun.

Hey PaulaV, Yes, that picture was right after our legal wedding. I have some great pics, but haven't had a chance to post them yet. Thank You Well, thank you for your help in answering those questions. I am thinking of just having everyone meet us in the lobby also then head to dinner. That will probably be the easiest choice. I just want to see if we can do a rehearsal now on that Saturday, I'm sure a wedding will be taking place at some point. I can't wait to see Jilly's wedding on Friday, then another on Saturday!! Oh good, I am paying for the Ult. Okay Ladies, I have E-Mailed Claudia and her assistant with out any luck (for almost two weeks) so I tried to read through this thread again but I am running out of time in front of the computer. So I thought I would ask you wonderful ladies some of these questions. Any help would be GREAT! * Do they have an aisle runners? * What decorations do they have for the walkway leading to the Gazebo? * I am doing the white flags, but she never told me how many flagpoles they have? * What kind of Activities/Events/Dinners do they have going on Fri,Sat evenings? * For my cocktail hour I was told to choose from the Gold Menu, can I pick from the silver instead? * Do they take any type of reservations for a private dinner? If so what are the cost and which restaurants?? I was wanting to do a "rehearsal" dinner on that Saturday evening for about 20-30 people.... * What is everyone doing for their Vows? AHHH! We (Susan, Jilly, Myself) Are getting SO close!! What details do you ladies have left to figure out?? Oh, and does anyone have a good number to get a hold of Claudia? I have been e-mailing her several times this last week with no response, and my last E-Mail came back because of a full mail box! I have several things I haven't set yet...but thats my fault. You should be able to look up legal requirements for your state....we just were legally married on Friday We had to both go to the courthouse to apply, then wait 3 days but not longer than 30 So we went to a historic courthouse and had our parents there...I will be posting about that later. Hello Dreams Ladies!! I had read about bringing silk flowers, and was wondering if we ever heard anything back?? Would I be able to ship/bring my own silk bouquet? or decorate with silk petals? Just curious

Hey Jilly and Susan, what are you two doing for music at the reception? I was thinking about just using the DJ that Dreams can provide, but I read that review and now I'm not so sure. BTW, Jilly I get to Dreams on the 19th, I will be sneaking a peak at your wedding Today I hit my Two Month mark!! And tomorrow is my birthday, which I had completely forgotten about..too worried about wedding stuff right now!!

Thanks for letting me vent!! To answer the behavior question, she did act like this before she was ill (controlling) She is a very nice woman, but does like to speak her opinion, loudly!! LOL. I was trying very hard to be compassionate because I know going through cancer, along with a wedding is emotional. My Uncle whom is also my Godfather had Lymphoma at the age of thirty three (ten years ago) and then my Grandmother and her sister both had stage three breast cancer just a year and half ago. So my whole family is trying to be there for them. Seth and I just want her to be able to relax and not stress over the small things. So I will need a lot of patience over the next 2 months!! The rehearsal dinner/party they were going to host has to be canceled. The Doctor said it would be too much stress. So she is also upset about having to postpone it. It was a large party, so it's a shame. That means she is losing planning something of her own that was very important to her, and the family. So just a lot going on, and boy am I feeling it!

So I answered a phone call from my future MIL and she wanted some address information for a shower her friends are throwing for me...and then I (mistakenly) mention how my work friends are having a small shower for me at a local restaurant. It was only around ten people, all co-workers. Well, she immediately says "What?! And I'M not invited?!" ...of course I'm thinking "Uh oh...". So I let her know that it is just something small, that my Mom was not going to be there either (which my Mom was fine with), please don't take it personally. Well, of course she does and starts’ yelling at me about how tacky, rude it is to have a bridal shower and not invite both Moms’. Is that so?? I have been reading the Emily Post books, and asking questions and that doesn't always seem to be the case. Maybe a little old fashioned? She continues to yell about how tacky and rude my friends are, and that this is about two families coming together, while I'm trying to apologize and explain I had nothing to do with the planning of this. Well, to make matters worse she just started Chemo treatments for Lymphoma. This conversation took place the same week as her treatment. So I know she has a lot on her mind right now and isn't feeling her best. It get's a little messy, because then she call's my Fiancé and starts telling him that I was rude and raised my voice to her (and I didn’t). This was a week ago, and she has not tried to talk to me since then. She has talked to Seth and mentioned that she "felt bad" for yelling at me. Well, that all took place on a Thursday. On Monday I pick up my invites from the Calligrapher and she insist Seth bring their's over that day so she can look at them. The first thing she wants to know is why her and his fathers names aren't on there ( my parents are paying for everything) so she has to go and pull out all of her friends children's wedding invites and compare until she finds one that also doesn't have the groom's names on there (Whew!). I'll leave it at that for now, sorry so long!! But the saga continues ....

Hello Ladies!! I know I haven't been able to post recently, but I'm still around!! I had a question about music for the reception... what is everyone doing?!! I E-Mailed the DJ (www.presentationservices.com.mx)some people have used and the quote that was posted was less then what they E-Mailed me back at. The smallest package was at $1250, then when they responded they said $1,800!!! That seems a little high to me. I do have plenty of songs on my iPod that could be played and then rent the sounds system, I just need someone to play/stop them and be able to announce our first dance and such. The wedding is sneaking up on me, and all you ladies getting married in 2008 that have everything done are making stress out!! LOL I still haven't chosen menu options, flowers, cake, or Groom/Groomsmen wear!!! I just received my dress 2 weeks ago!! LOL

I did these from Sam Moons Sam Moon Trading Online Sam Moon Trading Online I filled it with cheap flip flops from Old Navy, and I had T-Shirts made online from CustomizedGirl - Custom T-Shirt Design on the front I put "Bridesmaid" and on the back it has the wedding date, and a palm tree. I threw in some cheap sunglasses ($10 at Nordstrom) and Sunscreen. Hope this helps!
