  1. You started in the right direction; the section of the forum "Etiguette, Traditions, To dos"... just search a little further and you'll find the answers you need. Trust me, these questions have been asked several times before. Digging up old threads is better than beginning new ones; you'll get a better chance of varying opinions and answers. Please use the search button at the top right corner of your page.
  2. Welcome to the forum - and congratulations!! We have lots of great information on Cancun & surrounding areas; have you ever been before? Do you have any particular resort in mind?
  3. Yikes, I should not have clicked on the link.... I could spend hours on that website!! Thanks for sharing!

  5. WOW! That's unbelievable!!!! Is it the same lady that will be fixing it? Does she need TRAINING?!!! How did she not see that?? Yikes! Let us know what happens when you go back on Friday.
  6. Ok... here's what I found: Leia used them (you can see them in the pictures here) I'm not sure if the pictures help you decide what to get, but here they are anyways: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t31347 Some other brides w/pictures that used sparklers: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t25828 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t15469 Here Sandy mentions the sparklers she used - and mentioned they were really long! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t22191 And this is an awesome thread (with pictures)!! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t5363 Ok, I didn't find as much as I thought I would, but the last thread attached is a pretty good one.
  7. I don't have a personal experience, but I have seen it on the forum a couple of times... let me see what I can dig up.
  8. Welcome to the forum Caitlyn, and congratulations on your (very) recent engagement!! You should post your engagement story here while it's still fresh in your mind! Share your wedding/engagement story! - Best Destination Wedding Forum I know everything seems so overwhelming right now, but you'll find the place for you! Do you know who you're inviting? Will there be children, or only adults? Do you want the resort to be an All-Inclusive? One of my favourite sections of the forum is the Bride's reviews. You get to hear all about the weddings & resorts straight from the bride's personal experience, which can be reassuring. Wedding Reviews - Best Destination Wedding Forum Also, for pictures check out this section: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/f76/ They don't usually give a lot of information, as it's mostly just pictures, but it's nice to see!! Other than that, you can use the search function at the top right-hand corner of the screen and research to your heart's desire!! Happy Planning!!!
  9. Welcome to the forum Biviana!!
  10. Have you tried posting again since that initial post (or since starting this thread)?
  11. Hi Andrea, welcome to the forum!!!! You can find lots of templates for all kinds of things here: DIY Forum - Best Destination Wedding Forum
  12. Welcome to the forum Cindy!!! If you haven't already, please be sure to check out the Vender Rules: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t921
  13. Congratulations!! That's so exciting!! I once saw a website with the top 10 things your baby WILL use (it also had the 10 ten thing that turned out to be a waste of money)... I'll see if I can find the website, but hopefully the new mommies will chime in and know what I'm talking about!
  14. Hmm... not sure why you're getting the message. Which thread were you trying to reply to??
  15. Oh your dress is BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the bustle. I think the brooch would be nice, but not required; it'd be gorgeous with or without it!
  16. They really do fantastic work. I also like #5 with all the girls, it's pretty and unique. ACA Amy ~ IMO, it's worth it to spend an extra buck (or several more!) on photography if you can work it into your pictures. You're on a beautiful beach, cut the decor, save in a few other places and splurge on the photography... I don't think you'd regret it.
  17. Julie, do you find that the eggs tend to rise to the top and make it a bit custardy?? I've made a similar recipe before and it did that (and I wasn't a big fan of that!), so I just cut the eggs out completely.
  18. These ladies are right, it completely depends on what you want to incorporate in your wedding, who you're paying for, what you're paying for, what extras you want to add, where you want to stay etc. A really good thread to check out is this one: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t933

We were going to do that, but honestly as it got closer.. (A) it was nice to actually BE married on our wedding day instead of waiting until we got back and; ( honestly, by the time the wedding rolled around, it was nice to have all the planning/stress/running around over and just enjoy our new marriage. I don't think getting legally married 2nd would make your wedding day any less significant, just for me it was nice to know at the end of the wedding day, we were actually husband and wife, kwim?
  22. That's a good question, but it's also a well-asked question!! Try searching here: Music & Entertainment - Best Destination Wedding Forum and here Cabo Vendors - Best Destination Wedding Forum Here are a couple of threads to start you off: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t2294 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t6390 This one is good (but pricing might be a little outdated): http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t669 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t6399
  23. Talk about planning ahead - I think you officially win the prize for most prepared ahead of time in hair & make-up!!! I love your eye make-up, they did a beautiful job!! Did you wear you hair like that for a few hours? Did the curls stay in well?? How cool that you could test the hair style in the same climate, I'm sure that was helpful!
  24. The only time you "need" a few days as it relates to your wedding is if you're planning on getting legally married somewhere other than where you reside, at which point you'd need to look into it further per your destination. For instance, I believe you have to be in Mexico for 3 business days before your ceremony. We got married here at home almost 2 months before our Mexico wedding. It was fun to have two days!!
  25. Wow, Italy... I'm jealous! What a fantastic location!! How long have you been planning for? What have you decided on so far (besides the location)? There are a ton of us who had long engagements/planned our weddings for longer than usual. My DH and I were engaged for nearly 2 years before we got married, but trust me, it really does go by so quickly. Everyone says it and it's true!!
