Hi Kristen. I went through the same thing trying to get my date & time confirmed. The first time I called I found out that there is no weddings being performed on the particular day we wanted (STRESS!) and then the lady at the Riu in the Mayan told me to put in another request. After MUCH STRESS my 2nd request was confirmed within a few days. If you don't get your confirmation within a few days call them again. You still have some time so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Hindsight, I stressed way too much over my date. Can you send/post some pics of the hotel? I've never been to the riu, i've only heard great things! Aimee

LOL. I think I'm just gonna buy my witnesses as well. I can't stress about everything. I just had a major stress attack about our wedding date.

At first I wasn't sure about a veil, but when I tried one one w/ my dress it just finished the look. I admit, when the veil came on the tears started...

So far I've only got my date & time booked. I want to do some other stuff but I don't know what to do next? Am I supposed to contact the WC? Where are you planning on having your reception? Does anyone have any ideas what what kind of flowers/bouquets they offer at the riu? Maybe photos? And does anyone know the price of flower petals instead of a bouquet for the flower girl?

These are all really great! I love the boarding pass idea.

After much stress, I finally got the day & time that I wanted!! My schedule was a bit tight b/c we had to be in Mexico 3 days before our ceremony but me & my fiance decided to leave a week before our guests arrive so we had more choices for our wedding day. I can't believe I have to wait 9.5 months...I'm too excited!!

I'm sorry to hear about your accident Tammy, they can be a real pain. Can't you get the guy to pay for your rental? I (unfortunately )work in insurance and I tell people that all the time. I'm glad you're ok.

I saw in a magazine that a couple got a cigar roller for their reception. My fiance loves this idea. I kinda think it sounds cool too. Is anyone out there getting a cigar roller? If so, can you share some information. If not, can you tell me why? Aimee.

I"m getting married at the Riu Palace in Los Cabos.I don't have much planning done yet but I just wanted to say that I'm so happy to have you guys incase I need some advice or help. I STILL don't have my date confirmed but my TA said that I should be following up with the hotel myself. I bought myself a calling card, I think I will try calling the WC today or tomorrow. Aimee.

I was thinking of doing the same thing. As my guests RSVP to my wedding I would send them something like a luggge tag to get them excited for their trip!
