    I used Mariachi Los Cabos and LOVED them!!! Sarah (Aquarider) also used them - you can see our reviews.

    I paid $450 an hour for the full band and $350 an hour for just 3 members of the band (romantic guitar trio) for our ceremony. They were SO GOOD, I highly recommend them!!!!

    I used little tin pails as well - they were white and had heart cut outs along the rim. (found them at Target for $1 each in the wedding section!). The flower girls each carried one with petals and my ring bearers (my twin nephews) each had a pail with the ring inside (it was tied to a string tied to the handle). [since we got married on the beach, i wanted to have the rings tied to a string in case they got dropped in the sand]

    I used Jennifer Hatton - cake Diva (not Sweet Dreams) and I LOVED my cake!!! We did a tasting with her and her cakes are amazing!!! We had a hard time deciding on the flavors. We ended up with 2 flavors - chocolate & carrot (made with pineapple) - both were delicious. She also had an amazing vanilla with raspberry flavor we loved.

    Jilly - we had a salad from Dreams as one of the courses for our wedding dinner (the choice with goat cheese crouton). I sadly didn't get to eat a bite of it, I was taking pics or walking around during this time, but all of my guests ate it! I had so many of my guests comment on how great the wedding food was!

    Tammy - sorry to make you even more depressed, but I hired Juan for 6 hours (not 4!)... I wish I also did a TTD session and had more hours with him though!! I'm right here waiting along with you for the pics........ No pressure Juan - we love you, we're just excited to see ours next! :)

    At the very last minute (one week before our wedding), we were convinced by family and friends that we had to hire a videographer for our wedding. I heard good reviews about Sam and was able to hire him (we just wanted video of the ceremony and speeches & I asked him to stay out of sight from pictures and the audience). He was extremely responsive and great to work with!!

     

    I wasn't sure how the video would come out but we just got my DVDs in the mail last night and we absolutely LOVE our video!!! I am SO HAPPY that we decided to get a video and that we used Sam! He came with an assistant so there are many different angles and he also included footage of us afterwards being congratulated by family and friends and on the beach afterwards (put to music), as well as our speech to our guests (where I had completely forgotten what I said). There was so much of the day that I had forgotten or missed or was a blur and it is really special to have a video!!! It was extra special to receive it last night and to be able to watch it together before we leave on our honeymoon (tonight!).

    Thanks Jessalyn! We are going to the Caribbean for a week for our honeymoon - Keith's uncle has a house there and offered for us to go stay there. WE had to say yes!!! :) We leave tonight and will be back on 6/23, right before you!

    Have a wonderful wedding! I'm so very excited for you!!! As for DJ Ricardo, he really is fabulous - this morning he sent me an email with pictures he took from my wedding. I didn't even know he was taking pictures! HE is great to work with! Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats again!

    Just have to post one more compliment about DJ Ricardo... he just emailed me this morning with pictures that he took at my wedding (which are great). Besides being a fabulous & fun DJ, he is really nice and considerate!!! I hope you can book him because he made our wedding so much fun! I am SOOOOO happy we hired him!

    Jessalyn - I love everything!!! Your DIY projects are amazing - such detail, your guests will be so impressed!

     

    I'm leaving on my honeymoon tonight, so I won't get a chance to wish you well before you leave next week... so, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Have the best time in Cabo! Your wedding is going to be absolutely stunning and you will be a gorgeous bride! I can't wait to see the pics and hear about everything when you get back (all the details of the day, Tony's reaction to BD book & DJ Ricardo!). Enjoy every single minute! I'm so happy for you!!!
