my sister created one for my wedding as surprise for us. she used Shutterfly and said it was so easy. it came out great!

I used sparklers instead of fireworks (we couldn't afford them). My WC passed them out before our first dance and everyone gathered around us while we danced and waved the burning sparklers. It was really a magical feeling when we were dancing and looked around and saw all of our family & friends and the sparklers. I have a lot of people that say it was their favorite part of the wedding...

I used Sam Perches and LOVED him!!!!!! He was great! The video is very high quality and I told him to stand back from the ceremony so that he wasn't in any of our pictures and he was very respectful. He is funny and told me that he has been up for a few Oscars with his videos! Once we got ours back, I have to agree (ha ha). Honestly, he is really good! I hired him at the last minute (a week before our wedding). We only hired him for the wedding ceremony and into the beginning of dinner so we could have our speeches on video. It was so worth it! He got a lot of shots during our cocktail hour (which I missed since I was taking pictures) and it is so nice to have the ceremony on video since it is such a blur. He also put together some video of us on the beach taking our pictures with Juan Carlos - he added music and the overall video is really good! I HIGHLY recommend him!

We played CDs on the DVD player through the TV. We gave our guests a CD & I know most of them used the DVD player to listen.

I agree with getting the bigger ones for placecards. I got the 4-5" ones and I could have actually done 5-6". Maye laid all of mine out for me on a separate table so the guests could pick them up as they walked in.

I used the starfish as my placecards. I bought them from:

 

Shell Horizons - Starfish,Shark Jaws,Dried Fish,<br>Seahorses.

 

This was the cheapest place I found them. I just checked the site and they are out of stock right now for the ones I got. I got the 4-5" ones (they do have the smaller ones available). They are measured from leg to leg, so they are smaller than you would think. I was really happy with them.

 

Here's a pic of my placecards. I also had starfish tea lights on the tables, so the pic includes those. (my tables were named after places we had been together, so that's why you see the Yosemite name)...

 

Pictage has sent me 2for1 deals but it has been for other weddings that I have viewed. It seems like if I sign up to look at someone else's proofs, then I get a coupon for that wedding. I'm still actually waiting for a deal for my own wedding!!

 

Tammy - I really want to buy some pics soon too and have been debating about ordering from Pictage. I'm not sure when I'll get the CD of all of my proofs from Juan to order on my own.

 

Let me know if anyone finds out how to get the 2for1 deal.

Wow Christine - such gorgeous pictures!!! You look stunning, the pictures really capture how wonderful your wedding was, everyone is so happy! Everything looked perfect!! So very happy for you!

I used both tiki torches (I think we had 10 total) and votives on the tables. The votives were part of our centerpieces - we just did candles & shells, very simple. I liked the look with candles & tikis (we also used luminaries). Dreams will add an extra spotlight for you at the reception site and the tree lights will be on so you don't have to use votives or tikis, but I think it's a nice extra touch. Where is your reception - Cascade or Oceana?

Great review - congrats!!! So glad you had such a wonderful wedding! We also got married on a Sunday and I think it's a perfect day b/c of the travel. So happy for you!

We used those colors for our wedding and I loved it!!! I can send you some pics if you want to see what we did. It was such a fun color combo and perfect for Mexico.
