Oh I am so happy it worked. Yes, they were both bigger. Ours will only be 40-45 too...we think. We will send out 60 invites. Some forsure we know aren't coming but we've actually been surprised people who say they are coming. But we'll see who actually books! We have several friends pregnant or hoping to be by April so don't want to commit 100% but we totally understand.

okay, so things are taking me forever! I have finally uploaded some pictures to kodak gallery. First, let me say....if any of these pictures are from your wedding....I hope you don't mind me sharing these beautiful pictures. Yes, I was very nosy that weekend!!! There were a ton of lookie-lu's. These were pictures from two different weddings held a the Hilton while I was there for work and seeing our wedding vendors in early October. Both were set-up nice but different. We hired Juan for 8 hours on wedding day and 3 hours the day before for our welcome reception. I really wanted him to be there to capture all the moments!!!

So you buy the white bags....are they just regular white bags? then you print on vellum and gule the vellum to the bags? Is this correct? I think I really want to try making these. I need to get a move on with my details for the wedding. I haven't done anything!!! Thanks for sharing!

Of course I have pictures!!! I did feel a little weird taking so many but then when I saw how many strangers stopped to watch....I thought...what the heck. When I get home tonight I will try and post them...not sure exactly how to do it but I will try.

Hi Tammy, Thanks for asking! My dad had a complete Mastectomy on Oct. 3rd. and is now having preventative chemo. He is in great spirits. His breast cancer did not spread to his lymph nodes which we are so thankful for!!!! This was huge shock and ordeal for our family. Breast cancer is everywhere however the precentage in males in very small. My dad will have preventative chemo for the next 9 mos. This was super hard to deal with at first (and at times still is) but we are very thankful that things are looking up for us!! It was hard to think about our wedding when everything was fist happening but now that he is okay....we are SO thankful!!! Now more then ever we want this party to be rockin!!!!

Hi Natasha, The first wedding I saw was very simple (which I thought I wanted simple) she did not have a canopy or any type of extras at the ceremony. For me..since i am not getting married in the church I can/want to put a little more into the actual ceremony. We are doing the blending of the sands with our two families. The second wedding I saw had many details....lots of flowers (which I didn't think I was big on flowers) and alot of little detail. The flowers really looked good down the isle. I am still deciding on whether or not to wear a veil. One bride had a veil and one didn't. I think no veil and flowers look great! Also, one bride had bags for everyone to put there shoes...I want a place for everyone to put there shoes while they are on the sand. It was just little things.....that make you think!

Raina, Congratulations! Everything looked so great. Your pictures are amazing! I love candids...those are the best and capture the true moment. I too want to do the "white wedding" I have seen many brides pull it off but I don't know exactly what to say on the invite? Did you put something on the invite or was it word of mouth? I am ready to order my invites but can't get this figured out. What did you do? Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Oh my gosh....I fell like a slacker.....MariaElena you are now married and I was reading these postings and saw you had asked about my trip to Cabo in earlier October. I will have to admit I have not been posting a ton...so many things were going on at the time I went to Cabo. First I got sick and was in bed most of my trip...I think I ate something bad....not at the hotel!!! And my dad was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and his surgery was the same week our trip was planned to Cabo. I would have to say my head was in a million places for a few weeks!! My site visit was good! We had been before so we knew alot about the Hilton but we had never met Emeline. I had vendor appts and met with Juan, the florist and the DJ. Everything went well. While we were there I saw two totally different weddings and saw things I liked and didn't like. I know eveyone has their own taste but it was nice to acutally see those two weddings. I sat on our baloncy and watched everything from beginning to end. Juan actually was the photographer for both wedding too which I thought was great! Basically meeting with the vendors was just to introduce oursleves and meet. We did not decide on anything while we were there as far as DJ or flowers. We did not do a tasting because my company (I was there with my company) had a dinner there so I knew the food was good! I can't wait to hear all about your wedding and the details of how everything went! We want to see the pictures!!!!!!!

Hive sounds great! So if anyone could pass along any contact information that would be great. Maybe I'll see if they have a website. The thought of someone coming to me sounds good.

Thanks for the reviews Tammy. We looked at a ton of reivews on tripadvisor.com before we booked our honeymoon. We can't wait to see for ourselves. Everyone says how amazing the water is there. Matt and are leaving for our honeymoon on April 13th 2007. We will stay 1 night in Papeete, 3 nights at the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort and 3 days at the Le Tahaa private Island Resort and Spa. We will take a helicopter ride from Bora Bora to Tahaa....we are so excited!!

We are having a slide show too...we are showing it at our welcome cocktail party the night before the wedding. I think it is a special touch to the event!

Hi All, I too am a Hilton Bride. I have used this site but haven't posted a ton of stuff. Maria Elena your posts are so helpful and detailed. I can't wait to see your pictures. I have been to the Hilton last October but at that time was not engaged. We are going next Wednesday and will meet Emeline on Thursday. I will be feel much better after meeting with her and going over all my qusetions. I have a ton!!! I will post any information that I think would be helpful! p.s. I am trying to add my own picture to my signature line....I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have uploaded the pictures but it is not working....any help?

Maria Elena, Your bags are so cute. I actually have been doing the same thing with the Michael's coupon. Every week I go buy one package of bags. I might have to steal the ribbon idea....too cute!
