  1. Wow Melissa- that is an awesome hairstyle! Can't wait to see it on you with a wedding dress too...
  2. Julie your pictures are amazing. Everything looks sooo beautiful. Thanks for sharing! I loved the way you had the flowy fabric on the palapas and arch for the wedding.

I actually think my invites look really boring compared to the new ones that have been posted lately! lol, we always critique our own stuff the worst. I think it's fine to just have them neatly stacked on top of eachother. Many wedding invitations I've received over the years have been that way. Maybe you could stack them all together and tie a ribbon around them or something, if you want it to look more organized...
  5. The Mega store had tons of different vases while we were there. You would be kinda risking it and depending on them to actually have in stock what you wanted while you were there, but this may be the route we end up going...They had tall, short, round, square- alot of variety.

  7. omg Ann- how fun! You look exactly the same! I also got married the first time in 1998- yup, do the math I was only 19. No wonder it didn't last...Anyway, I didn't keep any of my wedding pictures. I left them all at the house when I moved out. I also left my wedding dress too! I figured it would be a nice reminder for him- vindictive, aren't I? lol
  8. Aww, I'm sorry Christa. It also must be hard for you to say good bye to an old friend. I'm glad this is over now, though, and you and your mom can focus on the wedding. Shadow is now in a better place...
  9. So far it's just burning down the inside. That's what I'm most interested in...HOW it burns. If it burns like that I'm totally doing them. Then there's no way it will catch on fire. Especially since I couldn't get it to burn yesterday even when I tried!
  10. Well Tammy, apparently they have great quality candles at Target (note to self for the future). However in this instance I'm really wishing it wasn't such a great candle. I burned the darn thing all afternoon and evening yesterday and it's nowhere near the tissue paper. So, I lit it again this morning. Somehow I think this is going to take a few days until we know the answer.
  11. I'm making a book, and then someday when we have teenage boys it will have to be well hidden in the bottom of the dresser or something! There's no way I could choose just one of these pics to frame..there's just too many that I like!
  12. Just checking in Christa...you doing ok hon? Every day I'm counting down for you too! Isn't that sad? I'm just so excited for you!!!
  13. Aww, thanks. Well, as long as they don't burn my house down I'll keep going and make 17 more!
  14. lol, only 18- but I'm thinking Christine's clear labels are sounding better and better all the time...

  16. Sarah, I think they look great! As everyone else has said, I can't tell the quality of the flowers from the picture you took, but as far as I can see it looks beautiful. I would definitely not add anything to the base. In fact, I might take away some of the tealights or shells. It almost looks a little busy, in my honest opinion. But the flower part is great...What's inside the vases?

If so, how did you do this? What type of tissue paper did you use? I love this effect! I did actually print directly on the tissue paper. It's tricky though, because my printer can't handle it, so I taped the tissue paper to a regular piece of printer paper. You just cut close to the edge of the design anyway, so it just results in a wasted piece of printer paper. Smaller designs definitely work better, and it works best (well, actually it only works) if you use no larger than a 6x6 inch or smaller square of tissue, and make sure you pull the edges tightly... Does that make sense? Oh, and it's just regular white tissue paper like for lining gift wrap boxes.

  19. Well, when it's a bunch of women who you work with for 12 hours at a time, you end up talking about this kinda stuff. Even worse, when they're all nurses, because they're all like "C'Mon, show us ALL of them- you don't have anything we don't see 500 times a day..." blah blah blah...So now pretty much like 20 nurses and a few residents have now seen more of me than 99.9999999999999999999999999% of the general population ever will!

I sent you my collage too Ann. I finally had to make a collage of some of the "safer" pics because my coworkers kepy having me access the whole album at work. I figured it was just a matter of time before "the powers that be" figured out who the pictures were of since I know they monitor what we do on the computer...

  22. That's too funny- I was wondering that too...I guess the three of us would since we knew what Lenita had up her sleeve! She's foxy little mama, but I can't wait to hear from her what picture got that expression!
