You are totally going to enjoy it! The crew was just hilarious! They had a dance routine and everything! The food was good and they tend to your every need! especially with the drinks!! I don't wish what we went through with the flight on my worst enemy! It was just all bad! I hope you don't go through our flight plan. You should be o.k. because the swine flu mumbo jumbo is dying down.

I'm so jealous! You are going to have a really good time! I was so sad to leave! But, January is not too far away. Our wedding is just around the corner.

I do not have an outside WC. I thought about it, ONLY because I wasn't sure how i was going to plan our wedding in another country. But the ladies on this forum have helped me a whole lot. Not to mention, you are going to do a site visit. The on-site WC for most resorts are pretty much all you need, they are good at what they do! Because of this forum, Our wedding was already planned the first 2 months of planning!

My advice: Write down all of your questions prior to you going to your visit. I keep a spiral notebook with me at all times to jot down questions that would come along the way. If i didn't have my notebook i'd write my questions on receipts, napkins, and even on my hand! It sounds crazy, but it'll help you along the way. No matter how small the questions are, small questions add up. And it's nice to get the answers in person, versus playing e-mail tag all the time! Have fun on your visit, and can't wait to see your review! Which resort are you going to have your wedding at?

LOL!!! Well it's funny you mention the "spiral notebook"...because I have something similar to it with a gazillion tabs separating the subjects..flowers, colors, OOT bags..etc. So no worries....when I read "spiral notebook" I knew EXACTLLY what you meant :o)

Well I hired and outside WC before I came accross this forum (which is a ton of help). We will be looking at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach, Dreams, Casa Dorada and the Hilton....and maker our decision before we head back home :o)

Thanks for the info Melette!!! Have a great day!

Hi Deanna! I emailed Yesica and gave her the date's we would be there and that we wanted to do our resort visit. She picked a day that was best for her schedule. Then she emailed me the food options, and had to give her our 2 choices per each course. This is where Dino came to my rescue! I totally forgot to send her my course choices! I emailed her 5 days prior, with no response from her. So, i emailed Dino to ask him to get in contact with her, and she confirmed the day we left. From what Yesica has told me, may is their busy wedding month. from thursday to saturday they had 4 weddings! By next week, if she hasn't already responded, i would try and email her again. good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
