i made an appointment yesterday to get my highlights touched up, just gotta mail out my civil ceremony invites (literally just 3!) and then i think we are basically done with the civil... i do have to go pick up my dress from the seamstress tonight at 6:30, and yes i will post pics when i get home. wink.gif

our dinner reservations are set... we just need to get champagne for toasting, which i imagine we will do like 1-2 days before and that is not my responsibility to worry about anyway. my other shower is this weekend, so im looking forward to that.

we got ALL our fancy silverware and a protective silverware chest from jose's aunt & uncle yesterday. it was like a $600 gift! :) it was very nice of them to send all that!

That's exciting, Maura! You will be a Mrs. before you know it!

Oh and when I read that you got all your silverware and silver chest from jose's aunt and uncle, I read it that you were protecting it from his aunt and uncle, not that you got it from them! I was wondering why you had to protect your silverware from them. Ha! Nevermind! smile105.gif

Abbie did you have a date when you wanted everyone to respond by? If so, you think they would have done it by then!

i LOVE them! everything looks so real except.. for that one reddish colored orchid in the last pic.. that one looks kind of fake.

i'm a little bummed about my hair flowers.. i think they suck actually and don't think i'll use them. i hate the crystal in them. they remind me of what a flower girl would wear.. not the bride you know?

but overall i'm very happy with my order!! bunny_4.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
