I have not put my deposit down yet, I am still waiting for Ana to get back to me with the contract. We picked the Dreams of Love package (the middle package, I think that is what it is called).

I decided on this package because I do not want anything over the top and this comes with the necessities. I was going to do the free package but once you start adding the per person for a reception you are almost already at the 2000 anyway!

I did not select the highest package because it has some extras that I do not want, like the band. There was nothing in this package that I wanted that justified the extra money. The way I decided was by looking at the DIFFERENCES between the packages and if the extras in the top package are something you want then I would suggest that package.

I originally thought that the free package would be cheaper by adding on only what I wanted.... I was TOTALLY WRONG!!! Al a carte adds up quickly!!!

PICTURES!!!!!!!!!

Ana emailed me this link from the first wedding at Dreams Riviera Cancun on the beach! Dreams Riviera

It looks like a very intimate wedding... and I believe the decorations were the basic ones with the package (without the guest chairs).

What do you girls think? I think it will be great! I am also pretty impressed with the photography.... is this the resort guy? If so I just might go with them instead of paying an outside photographer to save a bunch of money!

Hey everyone! I am uploading all the attachments that Ana has just sent to me. There are some pictures of possible bouquets and centerpieces. There is also some menu information. The menu she just sent me though is different then a previous menu she had senthuh.gif?

I also received my contract today! It is a bit confusing but I hope to get it all straightened out in the next few days!!!

When we were looking at booking here that was one of our big concerns too. It may depend on when your wedding date is. Our TA has said most resorts need about 6 months to work out the kinks. They really seemed to be organised (maybe more than others) and all the marketing that went into the grand opening could possibly mean they will work through all the kinks very quickly. Cross our fingers.

As for the wedding aspect of the resort. Dreams Resorts does a lot of wedding and although each resort has some differences they really seem to have a great reputation for putting on fantastic weddings.

Hope this helps?

Oh the wedding is beautiful! These are great pics and after reading the FAQs on his site, he is an external photographer, BUT at least we know he is allowed there! So excited to finally see pics from a wedding on site. :o)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
