  1. HI I had a stunning indian hindu wedding at MP in November of 2014. Now my bridesmaid's sister is getting married there in JULY OF 2016. I am wondering if anyone is having an indian wedding then? Please message me. Would like to collaborate on ideas and vender options. Also a big thank you to everyone on the forum who continue to post. You helped us plan an amazing wedding (despite the slow communication from the resort, the steep prices, the tricks they use to charge extra on things, etc ). What I know is, do not worry, it all comes together when you arrive in Mexico. They will take care of you. It will not be exactly as you planned, because it will be even better
  2. @@TheBHolders it was no mix up. We got a block. Added 5 more. But then all of a sudden we rec'd notice that it's sold out from our agent. So we told everyone no more rooms but the hotel had them! Like over 1,000. Frustrated we asked the hotel for more but it is a long process to try to get more. Be very careful, have your family sign up first , possibly do your invites in waves . Very sad about this experience and embarrassment it caused us . Annoyed people wait so long to book too. Stay on top of it and make a hard RSVP deadline.
  3. @@rebepax Hi can you please email me the pics ? I dont know access to them. My email is 2014PatelWedding@@gmail.com MANY THANKS I hope to design signs to and cant wait to see what you created:)
  4. Hi November brides, how is it all coming along? I am getting very excited !!!
  5. Hi all. Anyone using an agent for their wedding? What happened when your room block got full and you had a couple rooms you needed? We ran out of rooms, but some family still need to book (slackers) and we are trying to be nice about it and trying to get more rooms, however our agent cannot get us more. Anyone get married at moon and have people outside your room block at your wedding? Trying not to stress but just came back from my site visit and learned that we dont have official prices on any of our items we picked out... Anyone been through the billing process ? At what point do you pay? What method? And any suggestions about payment/billing for us? Our big day is fast approaching.... I just want it all to be setup and thought it would be by now. I did keep changing my preference on colors/decor could that be the hold up? Any tips/advice would help us at this point. Thanks all!
  6. Hi ! I am so sorry to hear of this situation. You are not alone, as you can see. I went through the same thing.. You are just fine with sending the invite at 7 months. It is more than enough time. You will read 8 months is the standard but 7 is ok. I have good days and bad days. You and your fiance have to be on the same page at all times. This is how we pushed through all of the negativity. Stay strong, I echo everyone's "this is YOUR day". People will always have something to say. Trust me, most of us searched far and wide locally in the states, but it just did not seem "fun". As someone mentioned earlier, everyone you talk to who had a local wedding always wishes for a destination. Noone in my family has been to a destination wedding so I am nervous. This is what you need to remember: -send invites in advance -find a payment plan (usually with an agent) -consider having a post-wedding celebration in your hometown when you return -know in your heart that not everyone will be joining you, make this your mantra "This is where we are having it. If you dont' have fun, that's your own fault" Its our little saying that keeps us laughing, after all, you are inviting people to paradise. If they are miserable all the there, that ok. If there are miserable during the trip, not ok.......... dont let their comments effect the execution of your fun, creative, unique day. -choose a family friendly resort ( we have 4 children under age two attending.......................) be very considerate to families, their childrens needs, etc. it is tough for them to travel etc and we do understand and we do want to make their experience pleasant. Go to mexico, have a blast, it will eliminate all the complainers and non-believers. Its your love story, continue to write it. Each day is a new day is what we say. Even if our family is on board one day, the next day, they change their minds :/ Stay strong with all the flip flopping.................. Remember it will all be ok when they get there. Its up to them to get there, so you take your time with each of them, be patient, and stick through it. CONGRATS to you all !!! Anita @Sophiaone95 see above

  11. Hi All, I am about 3 months away from the Big Day and am finally getting around to securing all the details. With that said, I have some questions. I would appreciate any insight you may have for any of the following. -Did you have your ceremony on the beach? Pros/Cons? -What type of cake did you order? -Any unique ice breakers for the welcome event? -What dress code are you having for the welcome party? -Is there a place to watch American College Football ? Supposedly there are TVs in the Nizuc and Sunrise lobby bars, but how do I confirm they will show American channels.... I know I know, but my fiance and I are BIG football fans of our college team and so are much of guests. It is the theme of our weekend..... Hoping we can having a 'viewing party' that weekend at a bar. -Did you find it necessary to have the DJ? We are having an Indian hindu wedding: -Which priest did you have? Did you have the local priest? What was your experience like? -How was the indian food menu? Did your guests enjoy it? -Who was your henna artist? Did you have a henna party? What did you do at the event? -What events did you have daily? Thanks all, and congrats to all of you ! Anita

  13. Hi is anyone having a Hindu Indian wedding at moon palace in November 2014 ? We are looking for a priest to fly in and were seeing if anyone would like to share the services during the weekend. It would be seamless and cost effective. Also, if you had a hindu priest for your wedding, we would love your thoughts and suggestions for coordinating travel and referrals for Priests that travel. Many thanks! November 2014 bride to be
