I just saw the link to that forum you posted in my other thread. I will check that one out tonight. I am waiting on the coordinator to send me some pics of the wedding locations at EdenH. I cant wait to start reading reviews about the resort. But its defitenly one I'm leaning towards. I love the fire & ice theme!

I'm getting married at Dreams. One option, is having the hotel's wedding coordinator conduct the ceremony and then sign the papers with the judge at whatever time they're available.
Oooh, I didnt even know that was an option for a civil ceremony. What time is your ceremony? When I contacted Dreams I was told they only hold ceremonies at 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm.

Yes, that appears to be a feasible option in PC.

From an email I recently received while working with the WC at Dreams PC:

The judge is only able to perform the ceremony in the evening. In the case couples have the ceremony earlier, the wedding coordinator performs it and then they sign the documentation in the evening when the judge arrives.

From what I understand there is only one judge performing all the ceremonies that is why a lot of DR brides are opting for a symbolic ceremony.

Yes, the weddings are later in the evening because the resort is towards the end or the beach and farthest away. You can contact Grisel at Dreams, she can give you more details about having the coordinator do the ceremony and sign the papers with the judge later. I know LOTS of brides on the original Sunscape forum that did this. A 6 PM wedding will be nice in August. It's just before sunset so you will get daytime and sunset pictures.

Keep us posted! Can't wait to hear which one you decide!

We are doing a symbolic ceremony and signing our legal paperwork before we leave. Our ceremony is at 3pm. Tried to move it to 4pm, but even for symbolics -- the Master of Ceremony performs it so it will appear legal to guests and he is already booked for 4pm. So, 3pm it is.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
