Also, I'd like to think everyone for their help thus far. Truly appreciated! Marla sent me a ton of emails, and they had a bunch of information that she had compiled from some of you as well. So THANK YOU!

Alright, big question for the Las Caletas wives....

If you had a rehearsal dinner, where did you have it? We have read on this forum that some people have used a restaurant in PV which is owned by a man from Chicago. For those of you who used his restaurant for your dinner, may I ask what his ballpark per-head charge is?

Hi, sounds like Barcelona Tapas. My dinner is there in 2 weeks. You're able to tweak the menu to your wishes so depending on what you want I would say between $30-50 per person.

i am obviously biased - but i have a feeling Las Caletas will be everything i wanted. we really loved the idea of it being private - and no beach goers lurking. just us and our guests!

Same! Like that it's secluded - which is like dreams but there you are guaranteed you won't have lurkers in your pics.

I think with the number of people i'd have to do the Deluxe Wedding package. Is this the one you're going with? how many do you have? 60ish?

Other random questions:
what things are you adding?
is the menu flexable?
do they do your hair there?
what additional costs are you incuring?

PS Ann I love how excited you are to have another potential Las Caletas bride! you should advertise for them!

lol - I am excited! i should talk to Nicole about getting some commission. sorry these answers will be short, i am super busy and shouldn't be on here at all - but can't help it!

we will have about 50-55 people, including kids.

we added the fire dancers, videographer, ... that might be it - we're getting the DJ and Trio (for 2 hours), Nicole is coming up with some kind of centerpieces for me (based on pictures) ...

i never asked about the menu, so not sure on that one. i have been told that it's a pretty good variety of things - i did ask about vegetarian options for my sister, and she should be fine. so that would be a good question for Nicole!

ahhh hair - i did add hair, and someone is coming to Las Caletas to do my hair. i am also getting a trial in PV - that cost was $300 i think. a friend is doing my makeup, but you can add that as well, to come to LC.

other than the things i mentioned, which are all pretty much on the website (trio, DJ, etc.) i don't think there were any extra costs. we're not having a wedding party so no extra flower costs. i may get a little extra cost for the cake flowers since i wanted something that cost more - but not sure. i can send you a copy of my contract if you want. PM me if you'd like to see.

Ann I've been in touch with him maybe twice since April. He asked me some questions and emailed me what he would probably say based on what I wanted. I haven't spoken with him recently though. I think I'll email him one last time since the wedding is like next week! He probably uses the same stuff opnly changing the names? That's what I think, lol

Has anyone seen this map? I feel like I hit the jackpot for finding it LOL

I just emailed it to my bm's so they can see where we'll be spending the day and they are so amped! #12 is where the reception is and the weddings are on the sand beneath it - I can barely contain myself anymore bunny_4.gif

For some reason I can't attach it, but go here and click on "see map" under the Las Caletas description box on the right:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
