Please Share Your Engagement Photo Package

hello ladies.. not sure if theres a thread on this..i didnt see one..

please help me.. i am not familar at all with the different types of packages that photographers offer for engagement pics..i know that they can be a lil pricey..

 

my fh and i want to take pics.. what are the normal prices for engagment photos and what does it include? please share your engagement package and the price....

 

my purpose for getting engagment photos done is so that we can have a guestbook created with our engagement pictures from my publisher..

 

the photographer quoted me $180 for 36 proofs and $70 for a cd of the proofs? i asked about the cd, becuz i can print my own pics out and make copies..

 

please help.. sorry for all the questions..

Mine was $400 for a 2-4 hour session (he ended up staying almost 6 hours tho). We get a handful of prints (can't remember exact details right now) and the cd. He also drove about 5 hours to get here and that was included in the cost.

It really just depends on the photographer you choose.. prices range so much. I would get a few quotes from photographer's who's work you like and doing so will tell you if one is really high or really low.

Prices range all over the place, but I can tell you that if the photographer you got quoted on is good that's a DARN good price!

Some pricing may also depend on whether you are using them as your wedding photographer too. I've seen photographers wedding packages include the engagement shoot, but if you contact them just to do an engagement, a lot of times they'll reduce a normal session fee just to get a chance at your wedding business.

mine were actually included in my wedding photography package so i don't know the breakdown.
