Hi-

I am just starting to look at options for our wedding, we have not set on a date.  I've always wanted a fall wedding but when we decided on Mexico that killed the fall idea.   What are some of the best times to go (outside of hurrican season) ?  I am looking for an adults only , all inclusive place that has somewhere other than on the beach to do our vows.

I've fallen in love with The One & Only Pamilla but sadly can't afford it there.  Something similar would be idea, we are thinking about 50 guests.  All suggestions are appreciated!

@@WhiteWedding2017 I am wondering if your fall idea, went out the window because its hurricane season? here are the months we recommend to get married in mexico!

Feb through May

then Nov to 15th of December just before high season.

Have you looked at: Le blanc in cancun

Lat 20 by le blanc in playa del carmen it has a roof top

Paradisus la perla is an adult only and you can have your wedding on the deck overlooking the ocean.

Happy Planning!

@@WhiteWedding2017  Congrats and welcome!! My husband and I renewed our vows in Mexico last October and most of the week was actually really good. I know what you mean though about being nervous about hurricane season. It can be very unpredictable.

Mid-November is still really nice as well as early December. There have been a couple of recent November/December brides. If you look at Perianjay's planning thread she was married last Dec 15th at Beach Palace and had great weather.

As to resorts, have you looked at Platinum Yucatan Princess? It's the adults only resort for the Grand Sunset and Riviera Princess resorts. There is also the Paradisus La Perla that is adults only as Joyce mentioned. I looked at that and its gorgeous. Not sure what your budget is though. There are a number of nice adults only resorts and there is always an alternative to a beach location, whether it's a garden or a terrace.  I'm biased for where we stayed at Valentin Imperial Maya resort. It's fabulous, great food, beautiful pools, great beach, lots of dining options. The rooms are beautiful. We absolutely loved it and there was a bride from March last year that was married there. I can try to find her thread if you like.

Try doing a search up top for adults only and see what pops up.

Good luck and happy planning!

Thank you!  I will check all of those out.  I may have to rethink the adults only location as my son is adamant about my 2 year old granddaughter attending.  All of my friends are in their early to mid 40's and I really want a scene where everyone can relax without a lot of children running around the resort.

It's your wedding.  Do whatever you want.  With that being said, my sister is adamant on bringing her child to my wedding as well.  I'm still having it on an adults-only resort.  If you want an adults-only resort, pick one that is connected to a resort that allows children.

I've booked mine at Platinum Yucatan Princess on their rooftop.  Doesn't cost extra to be on the roof and they allow children to be there since it's private.  Unfortunately, if you are to do a semi-private dinner, you aren't allowed to have children there.  You can have a private dinner where you can on the rooftop which costs extra.  This place is located 5 minutes away from Playa Del Carmen.

La Perla Paradisus is connected to the family side, La Esmeralda.  You can have the wedding on the Gabi Bridge.  This resort has this asian zen feel and pump out a lavender scent throughout.  I checked out this place when I was looking into diferent resorts to get married in.  This place is located in Playa Del Carmen.

Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Resort is an adults only resort in a family resort.  I think it costs $1500usd to book the rooftop. It's beautiful. This resort is in the middle of nowhere.lol.  Close to Cancun airport.

Good luck searching! :)  I'm pretty sure that the majority of the resorts have a non-beach option.

@WhiteWedding2017 Congrats! You'll have the best time planning your ceremony!

Did you take a look at the Valentin Imperial Maya resort yet? It's adults only, and it has a great Gazebo where you can have the ceremony, if you don't fancy having it at the beach:

@@WhiteWedding2017 have you checked out the Karisma properties? this is where i decided to get married after months of research and comparisons! they have adults only resorts (el dorado) and family friendly (azul & generations), so depending on your guest list, you can narrow down the options. the wedding coordinators have been super easy to work with and my travel agent has been an amazing help as well! she is taking care of EVERYTHING for me and is even able to answer some questions before the wedding planner does!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
