    Hello fellow brides/brides to be,

I've been browsing through this site and have found it incredibly informative and useful.

I would be extremely grateful if someone could shed some light on the questions/concerns I have.

I am currently in the initial stages of organising my 2016 wedding in the Riviera Maya.  I will be travelling all the way from Europe with my family (approx. 15 of us), some friends might join us but this is not a certainty as of yet.

Initially I wanted to get married at the Grand Palladium, I love this resort.  It was our first big holiday together as a couple and the resort itself is beautiful.  I know my family would love it!  Upon checking the difference wedding packages on offer by the Palladium and the Moon Palace I am noticing that the Palladium seems to be more expensive in terms of packages.  The Moon Palace seems to offer more "free" stuff ie the Complimentary Package.  Also, the dinner and the cocktail hour appears to be free; I would only need to pay for guests not travelling with the same Tour Operator as myself and for any extra hours.  The music system is also a separate charge.

I have been emailing back and forth and as most of you know whilst they are very helpful communication is delayed and at times not entirely clear.  I was hoping someone could give me any advise or tips.

    Thank you.

    Jen

@Jenjennyjen I don't know anything about the Grand Palladium, but I've been to Moon Palace and it's great! I'm getting married at Beach Palace, but it was the same amenities (complimentary package, etc) as Moon Palace. They really have great wedding packages!  You should look at the Beach Palace thread on this site. A lot of Moon Palace brides on on teh thread as well.  It was really helpful for me when I was choosing a resort!

Thanks, Danielle.  Will definitely check it out.  With regards to the Moon Palace, is the reception dinner and the cocktail hour also complimentary or is this only so when you have a certain number of guests?

@Jenjennyjen you get a free dinner reservation with the complimentary package - so that can be your reception! I think for an actual private event you have to have 25 people, however, i've heard of girls paying for a couple of extra people and it working out.  If you get 75 room nights you get free unlimited private events... I think with 60 room nights you get a dinner and maybe a little less room nights a cocktail hour? You should go to the beach palace thread and ask the question! There are definitely girls on the thread who have had weddings with less than 25 people and could answer for you!

Hi @Jenjennyjen, congrats on your engagement! This forum is extremely helpful with a lot of helpful and friendly brides

I'm getting married at Moon Palace next year. @Danielle1 has given you correct info, you do get unlimited private events if you book 75+ room nights. I do t know too much about the Palladium wedding packages but if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask me ☺

          Hey Jen,

Have you decided on which resort you're getting married at?
