Hey guys,

So, I've been reading the OOT welcome bags threads for months, I swear I have read every one! But I have a question that I couldn't find the answer to.... Does anyone have ideas for mexican themed items to put in the bags?

So far I have:

gum

hand santizer

pepto

advil

bug repellent wipes

sunscreen

welcome letter/itinerary

All those are great and all but I really want something people will get excited about :) I was thinking maraca pens or maraca keychains that I found on oriental trading. Did any past brides go shopping in Cancun or Playa de Carmen when you got there to fill your bag with something mexican themed?

I'm already having maracas for my favors so I was really trying to think of something else.

@smileitsebIve heard of a few ladies going shopping and buying Mexican candies. Can never go wrong with edibles :).  I myself have been looking into some items with a theme and came across these.. thought they were so cute. http://www.wholesale...&itemid=1252295

Little ponchos for the bottles.

I've been thinking about this too.. hoping to have an aha moment with what I could get that would fit the Mexico theme. I saw those cute pocket sized "Spanish for Dummies" books as well, but I couldn't find them anywhere near me. I was also wondering if I should find stuff there, but then again the prices aren't the cheapest at souvenier shops.

Check out one of the brides who just got married at Azul Fives put some Mexican coasters as favours and she bought them locally. They are beautiful!

Her name is reynbow here, if you search her name her review should come up and she posted a picture on there :)

@smileitseb - Just an FYI, most resorts do not serve beer in bottles. Those ponchos are so cute. I just wanted to mention it in case the intention was for people to use them at the resort. :)

Coozies? Maybe with a mustache that says "salud" or bienvenidos.. im adding chile n lime cornuts.
I like the coaster idea. I have no interest at all in leaving resort though. I feel that would stress me out more
