@@TinkerSofi I have to commend you for at least trying :) I don't have a creative bone in me so I give up before trying lol

Love the belt, and it's a steal at that price!

I try :). I enjoy doing these things even if sometimes they don't work. I guess I'm always doing silly experiments. Hopefully I have time today to do round 2 to see if it works!

I thought the price was very reasonable! I wanted kind of a bridal belt but didn't want to spend $80-100 on it since it's only for the legal ceremony and the dress only cost me $30 hahah. I was surprised to find it at Michael's :). I'm totally like a hawk when I go in there and find the most obscure things haha.

I've had a few similar experiences with some DIY as well. I've made about 3 different types of mason jar vases and I think i'm finally happy with the end result for the mint coloured mason jar vase. The worst was when I was toying with the idea of glitter in the vases.. it was a mess and it didn't turn out well at all lol. Pinterest makes things look wayyy too easy sometimes.

I'm confident you will end up making something great..all of your completed DIY projects have turned out fantastic so far :)

Great find on the belt! I saw some at Michaels as well, but my mom bought me my belt already.

Pinterest creates so many false expectations hahah. I really dislike the "picture tutorials" because I feel like they don't give you enough details on the little tricks to make things go from "kindergarten art project" to "voila! I actually made this" hahah.

It was the same with the invites, I had so many mock invites. Some didn't come out the right size, I tried different types of paper and it didn't look good, etc.

haha aww! I would have no luck either! My sister is the creative one in the family.. I am going to need her help a lot!

I have one friend and she's so amazing at anything she makes! She's very creative and actually knows how to execute the ideas. My mom is really good too. I guess some people just have that gift. I'm mediocre I would say :P

I have a lot of big DIY Idea's but no idea how to execute most of them

Me neither, which is why I end up having to do a lot of trial and error :P

The waterproof pouches finally came in. They took about a month and I was getting a bit worried they would never make it.

My review is a bit mixed. The bad: these things take A LOT of effort to open. With that said, water will not be getting into these babies. Smartphones work through them so people can use their phone as an underwater camera :) or at least that's what I think so far. I need to try one out (another one of my silly experiments) and make sure they're 100% waterproof before I can tell people to put their smartphones in there and go in the water. They do have 2 super strong zipper closures and two snap buttons on top of that so I don't foresee any problems unless you close them incorrectly.

I guess my mixed review comes from the fact that I thought they'd be easier to open for people to put money and stuff in there, so that they could open and close them a few times. However, they take so much effort that I would just put my phone in there and take it out at night. post-265511-142690551517_thumb.jpg

thanks! I found it right with the rest of the wedding stuff. Right by the garters. They have other ones too with flowers and things but the flowers were pretty big and I'm on the small side.

I would have taken a picture of the belt with the dress but my legs need some waxing hahah.

Yes! my cutting is just horrible. Let's just say I have all these ideas in my head but when it comes down to executing them it takes me a while to get them perfect :P

You're so cute. You always give me a giggle. Well done on the crafting. So not happening in my house! lol I have 10 thumbs.

I have an iPhone 5s and this is what it looks like when it's inside and closed. Sorry the picture is kinda crappy but the only way of doing this was borrowing my dad's phone :) post-265511-142690711738_thumb.jpg

With my iPhone the camera lines up well with the clear side on the other side but I'm not sure how it might work with anything bigger :S

It's about 6.5in from the bottom to the top (when closed) and almost 5in wide. The clear part is 4X3 and it starts 1 in 3/4 from the bottom

Thanks! I think it will fit... It will be way tighter than yours tho. Love the Phone case... I'm secretly obsessed with mermaids in general! It's why I chose my wedding dress it reminded me of a mermaid...I'm definitely an ocean girl!

me too! haha. I didn't choose a mermaid dress but only because I seemed to be the only one who loved them and neither my mom or my MOH thought they were really "me" haha. However, I am totally an ocean girl too so I'm obsessed with mermaids too :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
