Newbie Researching Cabo Wedding Coordinators For June 2015

Hi everyone!

I was trying to find a thread with more recent WC reviews and info, but couldn't find much. Some of the WCs I've contacted are:

-Illeana from Romantic Cabo Weddings

-Yarai Peregrino from Memories Weddings and Events

Both whom I've read come highly recommended.

I was also interested in Leslie from One Happenings, Suzanne Morel from Cabo Event and Christina Mattos from Cabo Beach Weddings, but could not find any reviews. Any brides out there that could share there experiences w/ these WCs?

I've heard back from Christina M. (who btw responded to my email at 1am, after finishing a wedding that day - I was impressed!) and she answered all my questions, seemed very helpful and open about her process with vendors, fees, etc.  I was quoted $1500 ($250 deposit) for a wedding of 30-40.  I'm just hoping to get more feedback about this WC from others.

Any reviews on these WCs would be great (or if there are any others I should email, let me know too).  And also what is considered a reasonable fee for my wedding size?

Thanks in advanced!

I think -Yarai Peregrino from Memories Weddings and Events is awesome!  I met her for lunch a couple of weeks ago.  She used to be the WC at Dreams and if you do a search for her name, you can read some feedback about her.  She has great relationships with the resorts, locations, vendors.  She is not only a friend but she was the WC for my friends wedding which was beyond fabulous.

Suzanne Morel is a makeup artist.  I did not realize she went into the wedding planning side.

I hired Illeana Reyes as my day-of-coordinator for my wedding in June and she was AMAZING.  I could rave about her all day long.  She rolled with all the crazy last minute things that came up like they were nothing.  My maid of honor happens to be an event planner and she couldn't stop raving about Illeana's work.

Hi there! Would you guys recommend anyone to help with a site visit to Cabo? Potential to bring them on as a full time WC, but ideally would love someone's help in making sure we're meeting with the right vendors and venues for our trip coming up in two weeks. I've already set a bunch of appointments but getting nervous as it's our one shot to meet and see everything and I'm afraid of missing something.

Thanks!

@Ella2015  My fiance and I are actually planning on going to Cabo in February to start site seeing for our wedding.  I would really love any information you can share regarding your question above.  Also, did you set up appointments on your own by simply contacting venues and making appointments with their staff?  Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
